Bizarre...the top posters list has been altered beyond recognition. Minerva, Grunty and DP are now behind me , Brink has also had 2000-3000 shaved off his total, Aegis now has barely 9000 posts...has Buck gotten out the secateurs again?

It seems like a lot of the older posters lost a lot of posts somehow, while the newer posters hardly lost a step...I mean BS and I didnt lose any posts...yet Minerva, T', Brink, and Weasel lost 2k or more....Weasel, who had 10800+ posts is now back down to the 8k post count....

Now Kam went MIA for a while, so the threads that were deleted most likely fell in between that time that he was MIA...Cant explain how BS didnt lose any posts though...

I refute the charge I ever had 10,000 post. As a former member of COMM, I do not spam.

No, I wasn't MIA, I just wasn't in SYM hardly at all. I probably had about 15 posts here total before last April. I reckon they are really old threads, probably from before BS was here which would date them pre-May/June 2001. Was SYM even here then?

I have an idea...maybe they're the old spam threads from the BG2 board before SYM was around? I'll go have a look now...

I think Ban is a bit extreme. Maybe a "disappearence of posts" would be cleaner.

That could be. I dont know many threads before my time here at Gamebanshee, let alone the Baldurs Gate section, as I hardly ever venture in there anymore.

Elementary, my dear Tybaltus. You see, I just had a quick look at the largest threads in the BG2 forums, where we used to spam all the time before SYM was formed o OK, I spammed there, I just didn't come here ) Every last one of them is gone. Now I don't know if they were there before - we'll have to find someone who has looked recently - but in my opinion this is the best place to start investigating. Logic, Tybaltus, it's all in the logic!

color me moriarty but I've done a bit'o snooping meself. It would seem that buck himself has lost a few hundred posts. Now where could they have gone.

The game is afoot.

I think we should just get a lynch mob after BS.

LOL You do realize that if Buck sees this, he'll see your name and ban in the same area...

@Kam Well I dunno if thats the answer. Another member that lost quite a few posts was Osiris. He lost 300 or so. But old members like Harry and Georgi didnt lose one, so it isnt all the old members. And I dont believe Craig, Vicsun or Kid lost any posts either, and they are among the oldest Gamebanshee members. And Craig has always posted in the Gamebanshee section...

Hmmm...Im not all too sure. I dont know where Buck posted originally. If someone knows, theres your answer to whats been deleted. So I guess we can rule the deleting of taverns out of the question, though, if BS didnt lose any posts, then we already ruled tavern deleting out of the question.

LOL BS is now the second most frequent poster in Gamebanshee history.

Perhaps someone is casting 'post drain' around here and sucking the posts out of people's accounts and adding them to their own. The last time I saw this happen though was in a secret of the silver blades forum. It's a real high level spell and I'm not certain anyone around here could cast it. Still, with enough booze, will, and mind altering chemicals, anything can become possible.

Ah Don *ahem* I mean Dr., you are indeed a good student, yet you seem to have missed a few key clues, one of which is that Georgi is not as old a member as you might think...she registered 3 days after BS, and so would be exempt in the same way that he is.

The matter of Buck is a very interesting one. If you browse the very old threads, you will find that the old Buck posts are of the "Guest | N/A | A long time ago" variety, and the first registered posts are from just after the board was changed, in January 2002...so where those extra posts have gone, I have no idea...
