English pig-dogs! Go and boil your bottom, sons of a silly person. I blow my nose at you, so-called Arthur King, you and all your silly English knights! :p

Everyone, sing along!

We're Knights of the Round Table.
We dance whene'er we're able.
We do routines and chorus scenes
With footwork impeccable.
We dine well here in Camelot.
We eat ham and jam and spam a lot.
We're Knights of the Round Table.
Our shows are formidable,
But many times we're given rhymes
That are quite unsingable.
We're opera mad in Camelot.
We sing from the diaphragm a lot.

In war we're tough and able,
Quite indefatigable.
Between our quests we sequin vests and impersonate Clark Gable.
It's a busy life in Camelot.

I have to push the pram a lot.

On second thought, let's not go to Camelot, it is a silly place.

Especially for Frogus on his birthday...

...and because he probably understand the humour in it better than most! :D

Immanuel Kant was a real pissant
who was very rarely stable.
Heidegger, Heidegger was a boozy beggar
who could think you under the table.
David Hume could out consume
Schopenhauer and Hegel
And Wittgenstein was a beery swine
who was just as sloshed as Schlegel.

There's nothing Nietzsche couldn't teach ya
'bout the raisin' of the wrist.
Socrates himself was permanently pissed.

John Stuart Mill, of his own free will,
on half a pint of shandy was particularly ill.
Plato, they say, could stick it away,
'alf a crate of whiskey every day!
Aristotle, Aristotle was a bugger for the bottle,
and Hobbes was fond of his Dram.
And Rene Descartes was a drunken fart:
"I drink, therefore I am."

Yes, Socrates himself is particularly missed;
A lovely little thinker, but a bugger when he's pissed.

Spam? This is very famous Monty Python song, I thought anything Monty related went in here?

Hrm, I am not sure the claims have a historically correct background.... ;)

Oooh...don't worry your sweet self...I wuz only jokun pet...
(interestingly enough though I did not tell anyone that posting Python quotes was appropriate...but I knew they wouldn't be able to resist! :D

But can we be sure? I think that extensive research needs to be conducted before we can accurately assess this situation, or make judgements as to its truth or falsehood. Maybe those folks who seemed to know so much about Socrates' psychological make-up will be able to help us out. :)

There is of course, the little known debate between Aristotle and Socrates on the topic of "I bought the booze, now you can pay for the pizza"

They're generally a bit too long to easily post, but I have plenty :D

"Zaphod grinned two manic grins, sauntered over to the bar and bought most of it." What a great guy :D

"'The statistical likelihood,' continued the autopilot primly, 'is that other civilizations will arise. There will one day be lemon-soaked paper napkins. Till then there will be a short delay. Please return to your seat.'"

The Monks of Cool, whose tiny and exclusive monastery is hidden in a really cool and laid-back valley in the lower Ramtops, have a passing-out test for a novice. He is taken into a room full of all types of clothing and asked: Yo, my son, which of these is the most stylish thing to wear? And the correct answer is: Hey, whatever I select.

-- (Terry Pratchett, Lords and Ladies)

- What shall I say ? I LIKES that attitude... ;)

No worries,
