I like the idea, now all we need is some talented people to implement it using the BG2 or Never Winter Nights game engine.

Maybe someday...

Some people have said ideas about the cowled wizards kidnapping or messing stuff up for the PC.
But in Nalia's ending thing, didn't it say that she became leader of the cowled wizards? or that she had something to do with them?
After all the stuf she had done with your PC wouldn't she try to stop them?

I can't remember her ending storyline exactly so what i have just said might not make any sense ;)

Well, um, if I had a kid...She would probably try to make my life miserable. In the end I was quite rude to her after the Keep. :o

I don't blame you, Nalia is almost as whiny and annoying as Anomen. :p

**decides to skip her extra-long speech about how Anomen had a rough childhood so it's not all his fault**

 ;) :D

I used to like Nalia a lot. Heck, I my favorite charactor was Aerie back then...but now I see the light!

She is quite annoying. She ranks "2" On my list of Most Annoying NPCs In BG. (That's pretty bad considering that I mean all NPC in BG 1 AND 2.) ;)

EDIT: @ Ode - You've never heard that speech of mine, have you? I'll have to type it out and PM it to you sometime...So far, it's on eigth different threads where people were dissin' Anomen. :o ;) :D

@Aqua-chan

I really like your idea for BG3. But then you should have the possibility to revive all NPCs from BG1 and BG2 before loosing your diviness.

THAT would be a PROBLEM!

Revive Khalid? Romancing Jaheira? I can see where you might get dumped down somewhere along the line...

But...I seriously *would* love to have Alora back... :(

But now my informant decided to add more details to the idea:

Each romance will have some serious complications. All will have indavidual sidequests, and here they are (These are all asuming you ACCEPT the Throne of Bhaal. I will write the MORTAL relationship complications when I can remember them :D ):

Jaheira: She will become even more serious when it comes to maintaining balance. At one point, she'll realize that hanging with you might not be the best way to keep things running smoothely.

Viconia: At one point, Viconia will ask why you don't just kill off you enemy while in your god-form in the abyss. You tell her that doing so would not be possible as it may be at the expense of your own son's life. Because she is unsure about what she feels about her son, she will have to determin whether or not she feels that he is worth the effort.

Aerie: Aerie will find out that her uncle, Quale, has expired a little earlier than ToB said he would by the hands of a murdering mugger. ( ;) ) She begs you constantly to not end his life (You are the god of death and murder, after all) and eventually blames his death on you because you're the one responsable for such crimes.

Anomen: Sooner or later, Anomen will ask if you still truly do love him anymore. You can say that you always will, but he'll wonder about how much being a dark god has affected your heart. He won't be able to decide if you still care for him in the way you did when you were mortal, and he'll try to determin if you still are a fragment of the person you once were now that you have accepted the ability to make death follow you where ever you go.

As I said, I'll write the other alternitives later. I'm just sooooooo hungry right now...

Oh, I've seen it, I was just tweaking your ears, so to speak. ;) :D

Feel free to send it via PMs; I'll poke holes in it and send it back dissected and quivering. ;)

Here dont get me wrong, I actually kind of like anomen in both lawfull and chaotic forms. He is a fine addition to any "full speed ahead! kill the bad guy" style party.

I like good character that arnt afraid to lay down vast amounts of righous smiting down apon evil heads. I dont like the whole, neutral good thing where it seems to be like "But what about the orcs FEELINGS!????"
In my book, if your a bad guy you lie cheat and steal your way to the top, firmly griping the ladder of sucess with both hands, legs free to kick those below you
If your good, you lay down rightous veangance apon everyone that even thinks about doing something wrong

So anomen is one of only 2npcs that fits my idea of good, minsc is kind of a grey area and I think mazzy is to soft valygar is dead boring, imoen is your classic poncy neutral good Nalia prolly worries about weather here enemies have enough money and Aerie is to fanatical good guys what jello is to steel

@ gnomethingie-

I'm currently working with a "Nuetral alignment based" team consisting of Anomen, Jaheira, my own Druid, (alignment editied) Viconia, Jan and Yoshimo.

Where I left off, I was just about to go into the Order's headquarters so Anomen could fail his Test (uh, yeah...) I think I'd like the romance a lot better this way, simply because Lawful Good turns the guy into bit of a Lancelot. I'll just stick with my Chaotic Nuetral bad boy, thanks. ;) :D

@ Ode-

Thanks. It's good to know that I'm a respected member of the boards. ;)

Chaotic neutral ano is a legend!.. I love how he wants to go on a killing spree in the orders headquaters, he should hit the bottle too like his old man and sit up at night boozing on with hear'dealis and jan, cn's rule!!!!

whatta party that would make... Jan could distract people with stories while mr teifling pickpockets them then good ole ano could cast righous magic and dahm in order to carry all the loot

I don't know if I can see Anomen thieving from the Order....wait, hang on...yes, yes I can. :D

HEY! Haer Dalis', Jan and Anomen drinking in a bar...that's a great idea for a fanart picture! Maybe, when I'm done with this vapiric one of Ano, I'd consider doing that. With your permission, of course. ;) :D

Too bad you can't encourage him to go in and kill all the Paladins...That would be FUN! :D

No worries, it's sometimes tough respecting someone who keeps sticking up for the NPC with one of the worst personalities in the game but I do my best. *hug* (Hope you don't mind hugs)

Send it if you want, but I will take it apart and make it look stupid, and possibly get Beldin and Eehardt to help if they want. Nothing personal. :)

But he's the probably the third most in-depth charactor in the game (Along side Imoen and Jaheira, of course), not to mention the best battle cleric, period. ;)

I notice you three hang around eachother a lot. Is there some kind of brigand around here I haven't heard of? ;) :p

I like the ideas so far. I'm also sure that people will be using the NWN editor to create campaigns based on the BG environment.

How about this:
An Icewind Dale type game (in the spine of the world obviously), where you can pick up NPC's, etc. There's a disturbance that is picked out by various priests, and they're offering a reward for the ending of this threat. Some of the NPC's that are elves or dwarves are from the BG games (Kivan, Xan, etc.). They often chat about the Bhaalspawn saga, and low and behold, in the end the threat has something important to do with Bhaal   , and/or the Bhaalspawn, resulting in a tie in to all IE games at the end of the game. (connect Irenicus, Melissan, Belhifet, the Heartstone Gem, Bodhi, Bhall, Sarevok, Durlag, the Cowled Wizards, the Shadow Thieves, Kresselack, Spellhold, the Twisted Rune, the Throne of Bhaal, Firkraag, etc.). That'd be a great way for the Infinity Engine to go out, where every one of it's games are related in one huge chronicle with many different parts. Plus that would make people want to go and buy the prequels to the grand finale, which would rake in cash. Of course, just the idea of a game like that is rather far-fetched.

He's not really any more in-depth than Viccy, it's all in what you read into his dialogues. He is the best battle cleric, 'tis true, but then again it's easy to be the best at something when you're the only one there is. :p It's really a pity they didn't include Haer'Dalis and Valygar as potential romances, I think Haer'Dalis in particular had real potential.

Why don't you come visit the Rolling Thunder during the week? You'll note we all have the same sigs, too, it's because for a long time we three were the only members of SYM's mobile party thread. Now of course we have around 10 members or so, but we three were the ones who kept SLURRing alive and built it into the phenomenom it has become today.
I'm not sure about brigands, but I'm a scoundrel if that helps. ;)

BG2 was brilliant. If they would make BG3 I am sure a lot of people will be disappointed by the product.

They just have to begin a new story :D

To put it into perspective, no one has come up with Lord of the Rings 2 that maybe partially because the author is dead, but I believe his son polished of The Silmarillon so......

Please, please. Don't say ANYTHING about LoTR!

We've had more than one thread go to the dogs on that one, and I'd like to keep this board somewhat more on-topic before the area turns to a Spam retailer. ;) (That's bad coming from me, considering the off conversations me and Ode keep having).

A BG3 *could* be a creative idea, but only if you *really* knew what you were doing.
