Hey, I liked Starscream. He was treacherous, cowardly, vain, unabashedly self-serving, and possessed a high-pitched voice. What's not to like?
Chris Latta, who voiced him, also did the voice for Cobra Commander and appeared as a Klingon on ST:TNG, so he was in a lot of stuff I watched (Too bad he died in 1994).
P.S. My gifs on the last page are working now (at least for me anyway).

This is not spam, I'm just bumping this thread 'cause I've been away for a week and I want to reply in it after I've caught up on the latest news.

But of course you are Grasshopper. I believe you when you say it isn't spam.

The greatest leader portrayed in modern media that I've seen lately was Gendo Ikari from Neon genesis Evangelion. After Rei Ayanami Gendo Ikari is my equal favourite NGE character, along with Misato Katsuragi.
I haven't seen the new Transformers on TV yet, but I'm going to catch it someday soon, if only to see how they've ruined it.
I've got an Eva Unit 01 figurine on my PC tower (still waiting on a blue Eva 00), but all my old transformers are packed away with my Star Wars figures.

7:00 Saturdays. Yes I know its a tad too early my liking too. But curiosity got the better of me. And I now watch it once in a while.
As for my collection of transformer toys. Most have been handed down, but there is no way in hell that some punk kid is going to get his little grubby hands on my Optimus Prime, metallic version.

@Tamerlane-Eeeergh...getting up at 7.00 on a Saturday*shudder*. Seeing as you live in Perth too, have you been to
Empire Memorabilia? It's about the only place in Perth where you can find "cult" memorabilia. I do know of another place that has a reasonable selection of classical transformers, but I don't know the address.

I think I have.
When I went through my collecting phase. I bought a few Spawn figurines, made by McFarlane. Wasted a small fortune on those babies.
