@thantor3 : "Oh, My Goddess" or "Aats, Megami-sama" is a good anime - there's some additional series availiable. I'll check on my list and inform you later :)

@Aegis : Try "X" it's a new genre anime I think you might like it ;)

@AC : "Bluesubmarine No.: 6" is computer generated anime unlike others. It's produced by Gonzo IIRC. And sadly the anime flops on the market :( Several anime by Gonzo : "Gatekeepers" & "Vandread" - most of their product use computer generated. "Hungry like a Wolf" by Duran Duran ? Hmmm I guess you're around 25 and yes you're as cute as Muteo ;) BTW My favorite char from Gundam Wing is Duo Maxwell and Heero Yuui.

have anyone seen "Samurai X" or "Rurouni Kenshin" yet ? This anime got at least 59 CDs and have great story line & philosphy :)

Phew... Just saw "A Girl in Gaea", the Escaflowne movie... Loved it. Way different then the show. It had a darker, more sinster look which I loved.

Gundam Wing *drool*
The series had me really confused at first, but over time, I got the hang of it. Don't ask me why, but I've always had a thing for the neglected charactors of games and tv (Many people should know that by now), so I've been a Wufei addict for a long while. Duo is my seconds favorite, but Heero is just a little too...ugh for me.
Cute as Muteo? Thanks!

Aegis - Escaflowne has some of the best music for thier series/movies. If you have a few spare bucks, or the time to download it from somewhere, I'd definetly recommend investing one or the other to get some of the music.

Meanwhile, I'm looking for opinions of Angel Sanctuary... I heard it wasn't all that great in the market, but some people like it, and some don't. Anybody got a review (even if I missed it in this thread)?

Well, I recently bought both the movie and series on DVD (costed a pretty penny), and ripped most of the music onto my hard drive so that I could burn it to a CD... Very good music, especially Dance of Curse, and Sora's Folktale.

I'm not much into anime anymore...

...but back in the 70's and early 80's I was really into those robot animes like Volets V, Mazinger Z, Grendaizer, Daimos, Mekanda Robot and Getta Robot. :cool:

I used to love the Mecha anime's but Gundam sort've ruined it for me. I don't know why, but since watching Gundam wing, none of the Mecha stuff interests me. That doesn't mean I didn't like Gundam, just it seemed to ruin the concept.

Just found the new series (I mean original Magazine/Manga comic series) has been running now. I wouldn't be surprised there'll be a new TV anime series soon.

And I'm looking forward on the ones as always ;)

@Aegis : Gundam series mainly focus on character development - unlike other mecha anime which focus on mecha battles and evil being try to rule the world

@Mah : Seen Kootestu Jeeg ?

Nah, I liked the character development (what was existent of it anyway). Personnally, the only thing that kept me watch was the brief interludes of combat. The characters were rather two dimensional, and the development seemed forced, and almost at a stand still. From the begining of the series, to the end of the series, each character was pretty much the same.

I remember one anime I saw... 08th MS Team. Wasn't it only like twelve episodes long?
The thing tried to focus both on Charactor development and mecha battles. However, because there were so few god-forsaken episodes, you didn't get to know any of the charactors in the first place. The fights were not even that well illustrated, either... Though, the thing did have a few good points.

Well on Gundam Wing, the char seems develop most is Relena Peacecraft. As for Heero Yui what can I say ? He's one loner ;)

I've little to no experience with anime' although i remember a pretty interesting story called 'akira' from back in the mid 80's. I followed a bit of that.

Given this thread, I've gauged I'll really enjoy this cowboy bebop series so it's on the way on DVD. After I've had a chance to view the entire series, I'll probably post some reflections on it ressurecting this thread no doubt a while down the road.
