Heh. That's one good way to be 'captured'...
Isn't it though?
I offered to pay my brother money to do sketches of fantasy art. He's broke, and can't find a job around the college he's going to, there's simply no jobs left. So, now that I have one, I'll pay him to decorate my new appartment I'm getting. Sketches first, since they're fast and I'll get a lot more for my money. Once I have more money to toss around for sure, I can afford the $100-200 an 8x10 painting he'll be charging me. My place will look all sorts of sweet though!

My artwork collection consists of Orlando Bloom and Queen posters, hehe.

*grumbles* You're as bad about Queen as I am with women.
@ Rav, yeah, on the 21st is when I can move into my apartment. I'm stuck with mom until then. Oh well, I don't have to pay bills or for groceries until the 21st!

You seem to be moving around a lot lately...

*nods* I moved in with Rachel and Josh because they said they were looking for a roommate for the next few years. Years changed to months as they went from sort of just "together" for fun to wanting marriage and children. So, I had to find a place of my own, and I couldn't find a place by the time they were moving out, so I had to move out of there, and into my parents temporarily until my new apartment was vacated.

I'll have moved 3 times since summer when the 21st comes around.

Well, that's annoying.
But at least you'll have a place to call your own. That has its benefits.

That it does. If I get over my aversion to relationships at some point, well I'll have my own place to take a girl back to without worrying about anyone else there. :mischief: There's always the problem of being in an apartment building and the noise factor though.
I need to do something besides make characters in my NWN game today.

Find a place that doesn't have thin walls.
Still playing through SoU?

Heh, will do.
Nope...got bored with that character. Now, I've made a sorceress and jumped her to the 3 section of HoTU. I got bored with the hack and slash and wanted to set things on fire instead.

I hope it turns out to be a good apartment.
Sounds good.
How are you getting characters straight into the middle of the game? Even if you've unlocked the chapters and have a way of increasing XP, you won't have the equipment.
I found some mod that has some merchants, provides plot items and XP, but I don't know of any other realistic way of setting up a character and playing them from the middle of the game.
I bought the premium modules for NWN today, those are supposed to be good.

Ravager, can I pick your brains again?
I want to uninstall NWN because I can't turn right (never fixed that problem and it is getting to really annoy me) But every time I try to go into the control panel the machine freezes and I get a message that says something like Dr Bug post mortem has to close yadda yadda and it asks me if I want to send an error message. Then I have to switch off the oblong bit cos I can't close from the keyboard since it is frozen.
Is there any other way to uninstall a game?

Cheats. *shrugs* I don't play games to beat them. I play to just test them really. I drop enough experience on my character so I can survive, level, drop gold on my character and buy equipment. Then I run around creating havoc. These newer games tend to bore me, so I take the approach of hardcore playtesting like I used to when my friends and I were doing research on making games. I push the engine, it's amusing.
*mutters* I bought a few of those, then my computer crashed, and I had no way to get them back short of buying them again. I was NOT happy with Bioware for that one.
Hello miss Fiona.

@Fiona, Odd. I'm sure I remember you saying that you'd fixed it.
Anyway, there are 2 other 'proper' ways. You should be able to find Neverwinter Nights (or Bioware) in the Start Menu under Programs somewhere. That may well contain an Uninstall option. Normally the icon is that of a small bin.
Try that first, I'll suggest some other stuff if you have no luck with that.
How are you today? I was a bit concerned after your disapperance yesterday...
@Mag, I can find you the link to the Character Builder Module for NWN, it's more convienient than using the cheats.
I bought the modules on a CD. I didn't know they were even selling them offline (unless bought in the 'Diamond' Edition).

I paid for two of the modules, they were 5 or 6 dollars each to download and install when they first came out. There was no offer for cd's at that point.
As far as the character builder, the cheats aren't hard at all to use for leveling. I just type in the level I want to get to and boom, I level up my character.

Thanks Ravager. That seems to have worked
I didn't manage to fix it because, although you were right it was to do with it being off screen, shrinking the thing didn't work. The right turn bit still stayed outside the bit I could see and I had to place the arrow awfully precisely out there to do it. It was a pain. I thought I would just get good at doing that but I didn't. So I will try to reinstall it and see if the problem fixes itself.
edit. I'm sorry for being an idiot yesterday Ravager. I didn't mean to alarm anybody. Please forget it. I freaked for no very good reason

@Mag, you still have to add everything one by one though (for equipment) though?
@Fiona, here's a possible solution, when you open the game, go to the Options on the first screen that loads, then the Video settings, then there should be something for resolution, try a different resolution (preferably 640x480, 800x600 or 1024x768) and see if you have any luck.
Hiya Mccool!
