It kinda floats there, firing off lots of types of magic from it's eyestalks. It can injure, charm, scare, turn you to stone, disintegrate. Pretty nasty.

There's a program that lets you look at all the content used in Infinity Engine games (BG, IWD, KOTOR and NWN [partly]), it has all the monster animations in there. I copied out a bunch of frames and made an animation of them.
Well, two. There's the Cornugon on HoL too. That's the better one.

It should have run a nightclub or something. It was a complete lightshow. It spun round in circles, shot out different colour beams and the beams even moved left and right...

Oh, for the BG ones, just find the shield that reflects their attacks. Works against 95% of them.

For Dragonshard it requires innovative combination of magic, clerics, and the dear hope that the spell 'Hold' Will actually work if you mass cast it.

This is true Chus. Anyone trying to blackmail me would be dissapointed. I do believe, you could be put away for claiming your keyboard was your girlfriend however. :laugh:

Heh, the Beholder is a true engine of destruction. And that one is more impressive than the BG version.
I'll have to get that game sometime.
