Scotch is the finest of the whisky family. Scotch whisky acquired its uniqueness from the natural spring water available(the water originates from snow and is purified naturally as it flows through the granite and peat of the Highlands)and also the climate in Scotland which allows for slow and careful maturing of the whisky. There are five types of Scotch whisky:The first is grain whisky, distilled from barley and maize in continuous stills - a comparative newcomer but now the bigger part of the industry.Grain whisky has relatively little flavour.Practically none of it is ever drunk unblended. But it is the vehicle for the flavours of all blended Scotch in a proportion ranging from 30% to 70%. Being milder and lighter it needs less maturing than the more highly flavoured kinds. All other kinds of Scotch whisky are known as malts - being made from malted barley. -There are four, because four areas of Scotland make them; and each has its own particular character.

Bah, the one thing I dislike about the holidays is that family *expects* you to be around...

Yay, someone Pro-Xmas is back...
I just did some online shopping...had to sort out my lack of a 2006 calendar problem.
At least it was cheap.
Bought a game while I was at it too.
So, what's up?
