I wish I was good at that...I'm pretty mediocre when it comes to both revision and exams.

And I can't stand the revision part, either doing it or knowing what part of something to cover when doing the revision.

I usually get pretty good marks when I cram...
I got 91% on my LA writing final I did a few weeks ago.. I got marks taken off for using the word "bastard."

My teacher wrote something like "good vocabulary, but some words not appropriate for school assignment."
It would totally lose the effect is I took that one word out! And now I have to alter my entire story thing I'm writing now.. it's gonna suck

I see no reason why "bastard" should be classed as inappropriate.

It is one of the greatest words in the English language.

"Bastard" isn't in my lame pocket thesaurus...

I had to take out a crapload of words from my story, but I am NOT taking out hell and damn... she'll have to deal with those

It's a historical thing. Being called illegitimate was once a great insult, especially it meant you wouldn't go inheriting your family fortune because of it.

@OS, use an online thesaurus maybe?

Bastard was the only thing I could really have that would still keep the effect, I think... I think it's stupid that my teacher said that though because kids in my school swear nonstop and she won't let me use a simple bastard..
