When people get into a serious argument about the rights and trampling of rights over voting on a message boards somewhat tounge in cheek awards ceremony, I suddenly remember why it is I don't post so much these days.
We weren't calling you arrogant but, I'm sorry, 'I am great at this; everyone, look how <bleeping> great I am' just sounds... Well if not arrogant than at least... No, just arrogant.
Well xcuse me, Mr. Turn-Up my nose at Confidently Furious Lady,

but
I was saying
that as a figure of speech; out of context, as a blunt example, and not literally.
what I would normally do is be quiet thoughtful and observant, sometimes words and actions branch out from there, and sometimes not. About abstaining from voting, I somewhat agree, if you call it that; abstaining from voting it is what people do when they believe there is no good solution, or are not informed enough to make that responsible decision..

*loosens collar*
You're right, sorry. Now I feel stupid considering I originally got myself into this for the same reason that I couldn't believe such a huge deal is being made of this... Sorry Athena, everyone else.
Goodnight.

Well, I'm off to have a drink or two. I've been looking at votes all day with some help from another member, and I'm beat.
I'll set up an official awards ceremony thread tomorrow around noonish (PST) my time
Night all!

Well, in that case, it appears I shall be absent from the ceremony, so I'd better record a message now, seeing as I will have plenty of awards to receive. So, should you tell me which awards I should make tapes for, or would it be easier to say the ones I shouldn't?
Anyway, good luck to everyone, and may the best [spoilers]paying[/spoilers] man (or woman) win.

Votes are Counted and Ready to go
Just to confirm..
The votes have all been counted and are ready to go... There were a few close contests in some of the categories, as well as a couple of ties. Way to go everyone!
I will be opening up the Awards Hall in approximately three hours hence.
Please note, this is a classy event and there will be a dress code in effect... so no slouching in with your grubbies
There will be lots of alcohol on hand, all of it the finest quality available, as well as appetizers and snacks
Mag, I believe, will be helping with bar detail, and I think Slade and Tony volunteered to help as well.
I would, at this point, also like to thank Fiona for helping me to count all of the votes, and double-checking my initial tallies. The task would have been far more arduous without her.

Hey Juni!
I'm thinking it is fairly formal, just because it will be different for SYM..
I'll see if I can find some ideas out there and post the links

@Juni,
you should know by now that at SYM, "safety" is a relative term
