Work isn't like that here. But in any case I work with people not paper. So I have to be up for it every day. I am pushing it to the limit as it is

If I show up up half an hour late, nobody is going to bat an eye (unless it happens repeatedly), on the other hand I'm the one that gets called out of bed on a Sunday morning when someone risks missing a plane...

I have the joy of the call out too. Doesn't happen that often but I have to be available one night a week and one weekend in 4. And sober then. *wails* its an injustice
I don't mean to mislead. There is some flexibility where I am, but I have too much to do and a big area to work in. And I do need to be alert every day all day. I'm not especially in January, sadly. But I can sleep in February, so that's OK

Well part of my job is reactive... basically if there is a problem, someone needs something, or whatever...: "Oooohoooh Lestat!" And of course if everything goes OK, nobody notices. I have the kind of job where they only notice when things go wrong... and sometimes there is no way you can go right, because right for one is wrong for the other... Flog'em all!
OK enough ranting.
and we can sleep when we're dead.
