Yeah, the original one. I used to watch it as a kid, but then it was taken off for a bit. By the time it was brought back on, it was all strange and I didn't understand it :D so I had to let it go :( .

And flash does... but I prefer art with Photoshop :D .[/QUOTE]

*shrugs* Combine the two then. Just make sure the file size isn't too big when exporting to the neccesary GIF format.

Maybe I will have to look into it...perhaps a huge eye might be good :D .

I'll give it a crack later.

So did you make your avatar Rav?

oh I see..well I kind of got into the Transformers Armada series and that was good ...I really like the one before that though I forgot what it was called but it was really great....it use to come on Fox......and before that was the Beast Wars series...which I think anyone who saw that thought that was great and deserved to be in the transformers universe of Hall of Fame :)

Heh. Yeah. That would be interesting. :)

Actually, I didn't make my current one. Someone was having trouble uploading it to use as their avatar and I offered to help. It only worked for me and I liked it, so after asking I kept it. :D
I did check out the file though.
As I remember it was made up of roughly 30 frames. 29 with eyes open and 1 closed. It just loops around infinitely from there. Quite simple as animations go. :p

Well it's great to see in this age that we live in, transformers still survives to inspire future generations :D .

Fair enough then Rav. But I look forward to seeing some of your work :) .

Ooh, gosh. No pressure... :D ;)
Actually I tried to upload an animation I'd been working on (coursework stuff) but no-one could get it working unfortunately. I did get them to download Flash Player and zipped up the .swf file, so I'm not sure why it didn't work. I even published it as a html but maybe I missed something somewhere.

Do you still have the file? Perhaps I could make it work, I'm sure it's not that difficult.

Yeah sure. Do you just need the .SWF?
And if you some stuff about Flash I'm having a load of trouble embedding a font (Verdict) that the University doesn't seem to have. It just defaults back to Times New Roman, which messes it up a bit.

Oh crud computer talk.... :( ..*curls in to a ball* :(

For the first bit, yeah, all I need is a swf and I can make the html or anything.

And I know what you mean, the thing is, if the font is embedded, it will let you keep using it, however if it isn't, then it will change. I'll take a look into embedding fonts.

Sorry slade. :(
Layman's terms...
I used a font that looks a bit like Arial Black (it's one of the GB fonts), but at least some computers don't have it. So all the writing in the animation goes to Times New Roman. That messes up the widths and sizes of things on there, I have buttons where the writing normally fits inside, but doesn't if the font changes.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I've had similar things happen to me, and it's stuffed me around a bit. I found one thing that could work. I don't understand it that much, but in Edit -> Preferences -> General Tab:

There is an option called font mapping. There is a slight chance that could work, but I'll keep looking.

Hehe. I'm not always great at descriptions.

@DJV, this is the file, saved in the Flash MX format (for the benefit of the university mainly, they're using older software than I am :D ) inside the zip file.
Thanks. :)

Ravager, none of your links are going to the right spot, and I only have to click on the nine for the phone to go anywhere... sometimes I press break in, and the police car pulls up. I can't go back! :D

Nice flash, though a couple of things:
1. I DON'T DIAL 9, IT'S 000 :p Make an Aussie friendly version.
2. Fire Engine didn't fit in the box, is that what you meant?

Other than that, I love seeing the the trucks rush past :D .

Ahh, actually I might know the problem with that. This afternoon I gave all the buttons (other than the phone ones) instance names. Shouldn't be messing up that badly though.
How did you get it working so easily anyway when neither Fiona or Juni had any luck? :p
I'll check the .swf on my computer in a few minutes.

@DJV,
1, nope, can't do that. It's only supposed to be for the UK and besides I'd be here all year if I started coding in international combinations. :D
2, probably, yeah. Were all the fonts Times New Roman, rather than very bold looking fonts?

Did the buttons work alright for you?

A question Ravy, if you had a number of pictures, could you turn them into an animation?
