I would have thought it obvious that someone who can craft such an authentic comic strip such as DCI has deeply studied elfin and orcish lore and language etc.

I just love elven, although I never quite studied it in detail, I have done so with the dwarven used in Warhammer, those who know what my name really mean could have guessed this
Khazâd ai-mênu
This is actually Middle earth dwarvish, and is part of Gimli's battle cry used in Helm deep

Okay, I won't get all the dialogue until I see TTT again in a couple of days, I remembered part of it (It's a reworking of lines from the novel).
Gimli: "Most have seen too many winters."
Legolas: "Or too few."
Not much I'll grant you, but I'll have the rest soon.

Well as long as you’re at it why don't you take the blame for some of my less than savory threads too?

Better late than never, here's the whole scene for you, Azmodan.
Aragorn: Farmers, farriers, stable boys. These are no soldiers.
Gimli: Most have seen too many winters.
Legolas: Or too few. Look at them. They’re frightened. I can see it in their eyes. Boe a hûn: neled herain dan caer menig (And they should be... Three hundred against ten thousand).
Aragorn: Si beriathar hýn. Amar nâ ned Edoras (They have more hope of defending themselves here than at Edoras).
Legolas: Aragorn, men i ndagor. Hýn ú-... ortheri. Natha daged aen (We are warriors. They cannot win this fight. They are all going to die).
Aragorn: Then I shall die as one them!

Mine eyes have seen the glory of Kayless' words;
he is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of spam are stored;
he hath loosed the fateful lightning of his spamtastic swift sword;
his spam is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! His spam is marching on.
