Has anyone ever seen a video game character in real life?

I just realised yesterday that my chemistry teacher looks alot like Super Mario with a beard....

It's 4:20 on a Friday afternoon, and I'm stuck at work unable to celebrate accordingly. But otherwise things are just peachy. I'm trying to decide if I really want to get up for an 8am 5K run that my sadistic running group wants me to enter.

I'm sorry. If it helps, I celebrated early... I know it doesn't, I'm just being a jerk.

Well I guess it's the thought that counts.
Spoiler
The thought being to point out that you've already celebrated while I can't. What a jerk.
:p

Does anyone have exciting weekend plans? I don't, so I was hoping to live vicariously!

That's too bad, I hope you get Oblivion working so you can have some entertainment.

Well, my wife's friend is coming up from San Antonio, so we'll probably hang out or they might go shopping a little. On Sunday I'm pondering entering a 5K run (it starts at 8am and I suck at running still so I don't know if I'll actually do it). And Sunday night we're dropping off our 2nd dog to a new owner since she wasn't working out with our cats.

Other than that, laundry, dog park, X-Box and general laziness. :D

@Darzog--sorry to hear about your dog, although it sounds like a better situation. How long have you been running? I've tried to start, but can never stick with it.

@Chim: If you take them out of [quote] tags your sig will be much shorter.

@Shana: I started jogging with my dogs in the morning about 7 weeks ago, at which point I couldn't jog more than 2 minutes without getting athsma problems. Now I'm up to being able to run 3 miles (granted at a very slow pace). I think I'm "running" about a 12 minute mile at my slow jog that I can sustain, so somewhere around 36 minutes to finish the 5K. What really helped was my company is sponsoring a relay marathon in July so they are offering a free running workshop with a local running group once a week until July. I've been going to that for 5 weeks and have been sticking pretty much to their scheduled workout and it's been helping me a lot.

Another thing that helps is I have to take my dogs for a walk 2-3 times a week anyway (my wife does the other 2-3 days during the week) so I just jog in the greenbelt and get my exercise and my dogs walked all at once.

I guess if I had dogs I could stay more dedicated!!

OK, think I'm going to head out. Before I do thought I'd share a couple of avatars that made me think of some people here. And one that could go for any of us.
