Yall might want to send me an un-invitation or whatever. I need to point out that just because I voted for myself in (two) categories, that alone does not make me an egotistical person. I just don't want to sell myself short.. I am not the only member out there who deserves something down the lines, but taking away someone's voice is cheap and disrespectful. The president of the United States got to vote for himself and his vote counted. Why is this any different? On the biased votecounter's behalf; this is infringment of voter's rights. Since when did a ballot checker get to pick weather or not a legitamate vote counts? Better yet, why not just forget that I ever voted or had the right to do so. What the hell do you take me for, a criminal? (I shouldn't have expected any less from government than to take away my opinion.) I am boycotting the ceremony. Who needs some crappy sym recognition anyway. Nuff said.

 Personally, I think I'm the best person if we have the categories of board drunk and pervert. However, I knew my votes wouldn't count if I did vote for myself. So....so...:mischief: I voted for others!
P.S.: You remember the log? *nods* My favorite moment.

1]Magrus, please erase your quoting me, if you would, as I have since edited to add a thing or two, and it probably doesn't read the same anymore.
2]Yes I remember the log...\
3]scratch that first part, I just don't care.

Are we sure Bush really voted for himself? I mean he could have gotten confused or something

@ Athena, done and done.
@ BS, Personally, I've stopped caring what Bush does. He's been a class A screwup since before I was born, he got voted in...TWICE and frankly, I am disgusted with American's that vote to the point I....*coughs* I need a refill....

... Is this entirely serious? I don't mean to sound judgemental if it is, but I'm confused. I always considered it common courtesy not to vote for yourself in any competition like this. Once again, not intended as derogatory but that's just my take.

Bush stamped the ballot where it read;
force+fraud=power with an oil rig as a side caption

I agree. Okay, DW could have said from the start that voting for youself would not be counted, but I'm sure she was joking at the egotistical part (at least half-joking), I don't see why it would cause such offence.

It's not courtesy. It's common survival instinct. People see you voting for yourself, and the next thing you know everyone else votes against you because you are "Full of yourself". It's much better to simply stuff the ballot boxes and bribe the judges from the background. Not that I do those things mind you, just saying is all.

Precisely. This is just for fun mind you but I always thought awards ceremonies

were supposed to be about you being recognized for something

by your peers. Kinda defeats the purpose if you vote for yourself.
@ BS: Still Fable's evil twin; a consistent voice of twisted logic.

I was seriously hoping that there would have been some kind of typo in this post, maybe a missing "r" or something like that.

It doesn't matter if I vote for myself or someone else; it's who I think should win, and that is the meaning of voting.

But you'll have a bias if you're allowed to vote for yourself, and that's not neccesarily egotistical.

Yep, and if you can't think of someone for the category, just don't vote for that category..or that's what I did anyway.

I got wicked good drunken typing skills man! You'll have to do a misquote to get that. Huzzah!
PS: "Cranks wench" would have been great though...

*nods* There were a few I thought myself as best for winning to be honest. I thought of not voting, because, hey, that's voting against myself. Then I said to myself, "screw it, I'm super and you all suck". Everything was all good then.

I understand what you mean, I just find the idea of voting for myself for anything stupid. Hopefully

some of you guys will vote for me: if so, thanks. If not that's cool too, but I like trying to spread the love.

If you don't recognize your own under/achievment(s), maybe none will.

The important thing is that you recognise it, doesn't mean you need to do something to get other people to do the same. That would be hollow in any case IMHO.
