Physics, I don't see how it relates to computer networking. I have been working on the colleges network for 2 years and can't see it. and you may have opened a can of worms with that offer of help. You may be hearing from me soon....

Hmm...I dunno what it has to do with computer networking, other than the physics of how information is stored and/or transmitted. I'll have to take Chemistry because I'm also majoring in Computer Science. Any idea what that has to do with computers?

Not a one, just don't tell the people around here, they may add it to the requirements. I would hate to have to take it.
I think we were supposed to have to take the class that deals with current and ohms law and the rest of that electrical stuff, but you have to have General Physics to get into it, and you only need one physics class to graduate.....Do you see the logic in that? Basically, they want you to take the second semester of physics, but you have to take the first to qualify, so then you don't need the second.

XD!!!!!!!! I want to take a "How to Build a Web Page"(or something like that) course, but to take it, you first have to take the course "Introduction to the Internet." You'd think that anyone taking a course on how to build a web page would already have been introduced to the internet.

Building web pages is easy, start with something like microsoft Frontpage and them move on to hard coding over time, you can always ask me questions about coding issues

They actually teach college level courses in building a webpage? Come on! I can build a webpage, it takes absolutely no math skills whatever! And you have to take an introduction to the web course, first? What's next? A course on how to extend and wiggle your various digits, preparatory to using them on a keyboard?

I think that's the prerequisate for the typing class.
I can build very basic web pages...but not complex ones.
The college I'm at is a bit behind. They have a Windows 95 class.
However, here is what I think is the stupidest thing at this college. First off, some classes can be taken online. That's not stupid, but the next part is. One of the classes that can be taken online is "Introduction to the Internet."

Don't disprespect us web designers, it can be hard work, well making web sites isn''t that bad, customers and dealing with them and their requirements is the problem

Right on, Fable. Good stuff, those thick chewy cookies...especially right outta the oven when they're all gooey. I also go for the occasional sugar cookie, and I can't resist a box of Lorna Doone's shortbread cookies with a glass of milk.

Yeah, we have to have a web page class too, or e-commerce. I started to take the Intro to e-commerce class this summer and guess what> it was an online class.
Actually I think that they add a lot of requirements here just to get some extra change outta you. That and the fact that some classes are never taught when you need them.
The worst clas I ever took was my Intro to Computers. We spent a week learning how to double click the mouse

On the first day of my Intro to Programming class, the professor(who is also a programmer for the school) couldn't figure out how to get his computer to work.

Amazing isn't it? I have a night class this semester, Microcomputer Aplications, an the instructor e-mailed us our syllabus and told us to print it out. (Evidently, this advanced course deals with how to open or send an attachment....

) Anyway, the printer won't print, and he doesn't know what to do. So I get up and turn the print server on......hehe. Helps working in the computer dept. DAMN this is going to be a long semester.
