I still don't see the corellation between using this and being a gamer tho. :p
I'm not sure there's a connection at all. :D
It's just that my SO noticed that a lot of the guys who post at the shaving forum he's been browsing at are also gamers and he was wondering if there might be some kind of odd correlation.
As I mentioned above, I told him it was more probably the case that since gamers seem to naturally gravitate to the Internet, it seems likely that gamers will also heavily populate forums on any given subject.

Apparently contrary to most people here, I don't shave; I've got a nice beard :) When I have to (how do you say that? 'Cut'? 'Revise'?) it, I always use electric clippers.

Same here (once in every three or four days). If I don't shave, I will look like some ancient Chinese philosopher with a moustache that grows on the sides and nothing in the middle. :o

It has always been an electric razor for me, but not really for a particular reason. An electric razor somehow appeared as the most logical option when I started off on the issue of 'removing facial hair', also perhaps because an electric razor is more modern - being electric and all... - and perhaps for a thirteen year old who is just getting drowned in the completely new world of puberty, modern equals good, and newest equals best, I don't know. Then again, I never put as much thought in the ways of shaving as I did in say hair gel, clothes or posture - I just like to get the job done as fast as possible.

It surprises me however that gamers would particulary choose wet shaving, as I tend to see the demographic group of 'gamers' rather as a group of people who puts appearance on a secondary place, caring mostly about, well, gaming. (this, of course, speaking in a black and whitish stereotype-manner). But looking from that point of view, I would rather think that they'd choose electrical shaving over wet shaving, simply because it's easier and faster, and why would they put much effort in something they don't care about? But if it's true that gamers rather choose wet shaving, then perhaps it's because of the old school aspect. I personally view wet shaving as something old-fashioned but stylish, something my father would've done, like wearing a hat or having a pocket watch. Perhaps 'gamers' are more into the old style thing than the modern solution..? Or am I just totally wrong here?

I personally dislike shaving, but given my line of work, I can't have a beard really. I can, but I'd need to keep it trimmed, and electric razors just twist the hair, not cut it. It's too damned thick. So, short of taking a pair of scissors and trimming it daily, I'm stuck with shaving instead. Blah for that.

As for using a straight razor? No way. I'm not comfortable with the barber using one when I get a shave and a hair cut around here. After dealing with one of my exes cutting her throat open and having to bandage her up until the ambulance got there, I'm very uncomfortable around them.
