I find they are helpful for a rundown on all the feats etc. since choosing can sometimes be a bit overwhelming.
Thanks! I'd checked out their SoU and HotU pages, but had neglected the original flavor.

My normal - and balanced (no munchkin in me

) - sorcerer stats would usually be:
Str: 8, Dex: 16, Con: 12, Int: 14, Wis: 10 and Cha: 15 with every bonus point going to Charisma.
This gives good enough starting AC, Skill points, and still allows you to cast spells at the level you gain them.(Need 10+spell level to cast them, so L9 spells requirer 19 in your spell casting statistic)
My start feat (as human) usually tends to be Strong Soul and Luck of Heroes (HOTU or SOU feat, can't remember) due to them giving bonus to saves which are rather usefull (and can only be taken at creation)
My skill points are usually placed in Tumble (for AC bonus), Spellcraft (For save bonus mostly, so can be downplayed a bit) and Concentration (nothing worse then getting your L9 spell disrupted) - with remainder going to a mixture between persuade, search and spot.
And yes - a level of paladin is .... well, powergaming.

Why the 10 in Wisdom, Xandax? I would think that's pretty useless for a sorc.

SoU. Does that mean you can't get the feats if you load HotU without having SoU installed? Because those feats aren't listed in the HotU manual.

12. I was a wizard, not a sorcerer. I still got through most of the useful persuade checks in the game.
Edit: I just noticed that the creator of the Exalted Sorcereress pretty much gave the build more power than it can have
First: The death armor does death damage, not sonic.
Second: It has a max bonus of +5, not +38 as he has written it.

Because the 2 points from 8 doesn't do terrible much for my build elsewhere either, to avoid a -1 on Will saves, and because I don't bother "min/max" playing.

Think you need SoU installed to get the SoU feats.

Still, the death armor is good, and the build as a whole has "Hi, I'm a powergamer!" written all over it.
Typically, I don't powergame. I will be going for Persuade, and I might do a few oddball things in my build, too, just to have fun. I have been known to create characters who learned perfectly useless spells, becaue they looked neat. And in one MMORPG years ago, such a spell became a sort of trademark.

I just found it curious, figuring you did it for a reason. After all, you jam points over and over into charisma, which makes sense; so I assumed you had a sensible reason behind your 10 Wisdom, too.
Think you need SoU installed to get the SoU feats.
Which I might as well anyway. I've heard so much that is good about HotU that I'm going to play it first. Then, I may go back and play SoU. We'll see.

I did play with a Harper Scout a while back. It didn't really get something any of the classes needed, but it gave a more depth to my ranger. Instead of being a level 27 ranger that decided to kill every demon and devil I could find, I was a level 22 ranger / 5 Harper scout who decided to kill every demon and devil I could find

Well you can quite easily add Persuade to it by forgoing Lore (get Deekin to ID for you

). Theres two options, adding with Sorcerer (which means you only get 1/2 persuade since its not a class skill), or adding persuade when you take a Paladin level (since its a class skill you get twice the persuade with half invesment).
Personally I prefer a few more levels into Paladin so I can take Divine Shield in addition to Divine Grace and Armour Feats (and Remove Disease/Immunity to Fear can save you a little annoyance).
Btw, can anyone confirm whether Expertise was fixed not to give AC while casting?

I got the expertise feat for my mage, and it didn't work at all.... wasted feat I must say

Expertise should only work if you are attacting, whether as a melee or ranged attack.

It worked pre-1.62 I think

. All the more reason to go lvl 3 Paladin then

.
