I guess they just make the remains random. By the way, do you know if there's such a thing as Malak's lightsaber, of a black lightsaber crystal?

No. They don't exist. I did not come across any black lightsaber crystal or Malak's lightsaber the last time I played the game. It's not even in the equipment database of this site.

You're probably right. Do any of you know if there is a limit of how many of one item you can have? Because I remember Getting 2 Circlets of Saresh, Jolee's Robes, and 3 or 4 Mandalorian Rippers on a file.

This thread intrigued me, and I went poking about the save game editor. I'm astonished how many items there are that I've never got. For a start there are the robes of just about every character from the 'Tales of the Jedi' series (Arca, Aleema, Sylvar, Thon, Crado and Nomi)...

I'm wondering how the game decides which items are available to choose from for a particular drop. We all know that the items get better as you move through any given game; you don't get Jedi Master robes or Life Support Kits when you're level 4, for example. Also, the lower level items stop appearing after a while; you don't get medpacs, or 3 credits on Malachor V.

Now, my question is; is the stuff available for random drop detemined by where you are (ie. is there a list of things available on Citadel, a list of things available on malachor etc. etc.) or is it determined by your level? If it's the latter, it may be that some of these things are only available if you're level 45 or something, so we never see them...

Alternatively, some of the super-doopa stuff the SGE reveals may have been intended (like the MyName armband or the Ossus Keeper Robe) not to appear in random drops, but only in a particular fixed drop. Remember how you could get StarForge robes in KoToR 1, persoanlised to your alignment? I'm wondering if some of these high level robes may not have been for a similar purpose in one of the areas of the game that was cut (perhaps on one of the cut parts of malachor V?). Maybe if the game had been finished there's have been a place where you got a high level robe suited to your own alignment and class?

On my newer files, whenever I meet Samhan Dobo on Citadel Station for the first time, I get things like Zension Sha armor, Mandalorian armor, Sith Mask's, Sith War Sword, and sometimes a Circlet of Saresh.

The Circlet of Saresh are just two little things that stick to the sides of your face, but I believe they're restricted to the light side, and give you a +4 to wisdom, constitution, and something else.

Here are the stats for the Circlet (by the way I believe it's gold colored).

Restricted: not useable by Wookiees

The wealthy Saresh family of Taris were once known as much for their arrogance and cruelty as for their vast riches and political power. But over the last century many of the family have shown a strong affinity to the Force, and been taken in by the Jedi for training. Foremost among these was Guun Han Saresh, heir to the family fortune. To celebrate Guun Han's acceptance into the Order, his father commissioned the crafting of a powerful headband: the Circlet of Saresh. To prevent this spectacular gift from leading his son down the path of arrogance and pride - an all too real possibility given the Saresh family history - the circlet was fashioned so that only one who is a true servant of the light can use it. The circlet was in Gunn Han's possession when he disappeared shortly after the time of the Great Hunt.

* Alignment Limitation: Light Side
* Attribute Bonus: Wisdom +5

Yes, I know, but only in the PC version. :) I also now have confromation by the Wookiepedia that you can get a Malak's lightsaber in the Xbox version of the game.Although I believe it is purple instead of red.Maybe he used a purple lightsaber before his Dark side shift.
