It seems wonderfully easy & quick to customize items for BG2, what tools are needed ? (or gimme a good link...)

PDF: I use Infinity Engine Editor Pro, there are a few other tools as well, go [url="http://www.teambg.net/teambg_com/cgi-bin/YaBB.cgi?board=developers"]here[/url]. It takes a while to figure out what does what, but you can do that by looking at the items in the game.
