I was well aware of the Hero's death', I was just daydreaming about meetin up with them "prior" to dying. I thought I was over them, but than you had to go bring up the "They're dead" thing! Thanks alot Alison! I remember happier times when Sturm looked so regal riding on the back of his dragon. Caramon's goofy demeanor and unhealthy devotion to his "evil" brother. And the witty bantor between the ill-tempered dwarve Flint and the goofball Tasslehoff. And, now that I think about it, Weasel kind of reminds me of Tanis. Always on the lookout for someone to help, but still stern and somewhat sour if you happen to tick him off!

in any case, it would be easier to choose dream npc's from the forgotten realms world, not dragonlance...since this is where the game is.

I did not, even the "Passage to Dawn" who is the weaker of the Drizzt books (love the mage contest) is far better that those *gasp* "books".
There are dead and now I am happy, I am only sorry that I was not the one that induce that state to then.

Different books for different people.

Drakron, what the heck are you talking about? How can you treat Dragonlance in that manner? True, the stories were a bit easy to predict, and maybe even a little "Princess Bride", but that is what got an entirely new generation involved with anything D&D. If you remember, at that time D&D was considered the devils playground for satanic burn-outs, but with the help of Dragonlance and other similar series, a whole new genre was made possible. Now you have middle aged professionals like myself still finding it fun to act as if you are some sort of mid-evil superhero. I would have stuck to sports games if not for that series. To each his own though.

If you do...I recommend any of the DragonLance books by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman....Test of the Twins, Dragons of Autumn Twilight,Dragons of Winter Night,Dragons of Spring Dawning....another good author IMHO would be Richard A. Knaak.

I did not like those books.
It can be my opinion but its
my opinion, I will not try to stuff it down into other people.
Read it, if you like it good for you, if you did not (as I), you just lost time and money.
End of story.

I always hated Tanis, No offense, Weasel.
I did like the Dragonlance saga (sorry Drakron.

) Well, at least the first two trilogies. I read some of the books afterward, but didn't like what the other authors were doing with the characters. I felt they should have left that storyline in Weis and Hickman's capable hands.
However, back to the original topic, it certainly wouldn't be impossible to meet some of these characters, since we meet some knights of Solamnia. We could be playing at any time on Krynn. I'd like to meet Sturm, since he was my favorite character from the books. Great character development, best in the books, other than possibly Caramon by the end of the second trilogy. Dalamar would also be a cool choice.
