I still keep in touch with them.

I studied in the same institution from Nursery to College and a great number of my friends are my batchmates.

We have our yahoogroups and website to keep each other posted on the latest happenings.

It's really fun sharing all those experiences and memories and seeing what has had happened to the kids of yesteryears.

I have no interest in looking any of the people I went to school with up again unless I happen to become a millionaire by some chance. :D

I think school would have been much more enjoyable if it wasn't for all the other students. ;) So no, I don't really want to catch up with any of them... I'm still in touch with the ones who were worth keeping in touch with. If I really wanted to see the others, I could probably go to the local pub in a uni break and meet a lot of them, but I doubt we would have much to say. Same goes for uni really, I was kinda fed up with most of the people there by the time I left, so I'm not in any hurry to see any of them again.

I always had more to do on the weekends than I could ever make time for, and although I wish I had dated more, in retrospect it was more a function of me being a bit too aloof then not having opportunities.

Same here, the superficiality of our relationships is probably why most of these people do not remain my friends. In fact your description is nearly exactly the same as mine, bar the amount of time I didn't spend in school which made me somewhat of a celebrity throughout the school, most every year knew who I was, below and above.

I hated Jr. High, and my bad experiences there caused me to have a general distaste for any schooling at all. But I wisely took control of my life and opted to go to the ‘other’ High School in town as a transfer student, and that road made a world of difference. There, I was able to be myself without the baggage of the past. I wasn’t necessarily popular, but I had friends (the theater crowd, of all people…). But I am not now in contact with any of those people, and I don’t have much desire.

But since I vowed to ‘hate’ school, I also vowed to never go to college. Imagine my surprise when a year and a half later I found myself taking classes at the University. I came to know several people very well in college, some of who I am still friends with. And, of course, I met my wife in Graduate School.

I wouldn’t mind knowing how some of the people from High School and college are doing. It would certainly be interesting to chat a bit with some of the girls I had crushes on…. :p But after 23 years, I also know that some of them are dead. This is a difficult aspect of getting older to get used to. On the death list includes my tormenter from Jr. High and my best female friend from college. :(

I have no interest whatsoever in finding out about old acquaintances. The current ones suit me just fine ;)

I had a crap load of friends in high school, I was even awarded something I am too embarresed to post here, actually not really I was the Homecoming King (We had no prom king). It was basically a prank that succeded... (The top five guys were Football QB, Baseball Star, Band leader, Seinor President and me the kid who was on contract and permit whose brother was expelled and i had like weeks of saturday schools...)

Its not a question of if I would like to see those people again, its a question of is it worth it. I find myself with a small circle of true friends, we deem ourselves a pack. Everyone outside my circle is just another person in my way to work in the morning.

Of course that excludes my online friends who do nothing but enlighten and entertain. Even those I dont agree with are more respected by me than those I once knew personally.

I guess I just have a distinct hate for people. It stems from the fact your all idiots..
