True, the spell has to do damage in order for the monsters to come, thsi making teh wand of sleep gerat. Besides sleeping monsters don't walk around alot in my experince. Did anyone ever see a monster sleepwalk?

@garazdawi: Well Dragons don't follow you

(At least Firkraag doesn't)
You could try it out though maybe it works.
At least stay away from him a lot, that Abi-Dhalzims horrid Wilthing is a nasty spell when ure low level
Because magic resistance is far away at that point.
Let me know how you did it!!
grtz flaw.

In my experience, mages never followed me, not even Irenicus. All undead follow, and I'm not sure about the others though.

try a smarter mage...fun!!!!
smarter everything follows you, and one nasty trick is liches can cast telly field, so if you send in a lich killer, buffed up and solo to a lich in the same map, unless you kill QUICK, the lich telly fields the entire party to its location, and abu dahzims them....
gggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr................
stacked dragons made them sorry, though...hehehheh...

Ah, oriental weapons... The good ol' katana and all.
Too bad that there are not very many of them in the game...
The only katanas that do additional damage are Valygar's and Kuroisan's, but the two guys are not very likely to give'em to you
And wakizashis are pretty plain useless...
I guess that Flametongue
could punch through some magical defenses, but do little damage anyway.
Being you a thief, I would advise the use of poison.
(I think that Corthala's family blade actually does poison damage, may I be correct? Does anybody know some trick that would allow a kensai/thief to "steal" it?)
OR, since your character is SKed already, you could go straight for it and give yourself the "assassin" kit!

Take the katana in the guarded compound and smash away, the mage will eventually be held and then you can smash away at his stoneskin until he(or she) bites the dust.

That stun works on almost everyone, even magic resistant creatures.

that stun even worked on clay golems...almost immune to magic, and very nasty....
and that was without wes item upgrade...with it, celestial fury is second only to sanchu....
