Our current pair of cats are named Forint and Leva--for Hungarian and Bulgarian currency, respectively. :)

Do not name a cat Chanak. I would not advise this. However, Frodo would be a nice name. :)

How does Harpo, or Rambo, sound? Perhaps you are feeling particularly inspired, in which case I would heartily recommend Leonardo (yeah, more than one or two syllables, but you can always call him Leo ;) ), or Shakespeare. I've always wanted a cat named Shakespeare...you could call him "Shakey" for short. :D

Feeling mystical, in a 60's sort of way? How about Moonbeam? Personally, I've always thought the diginified tones of "The Colonel" would fit a male cat well, especially here in the South. :D True, you're not in the South, but it would still work... ;)

If you don't like any of my previous suggestions, I have one more to offer you. It's probably my personal favorite. Mork. :D

On McBane's note, you could also go for Tosh or Bunny.

My first cat..(or at least the one I remember) was a tom cat named Luke. (Star Wars) :D He turned to the darkside and was never seen again.

Later came.... Spot The Tom Cat and I tried to plan ahead with him...a snip here...Mr.Spot became Not Open For Business Spot. (He never left, died at the age of 14)

From the same mother as Spot (or NOFBS) but by a different litter came, Little Girl the first she cat. Suffered from a case of Bite Weasel If He Tries To Get Around Her. Born two days after my oldest girl, she still lives and has her area in the yard. (I cannot go in this area)

New on the scene, Lucy (My payback against Little Girl). In training to take over the area Little Girl has in the yard. Win/Lost record as of today...Little Girl 25, Lucy 0. Still she does try. (On another note..she bit me after loss number 21. :( , I believe she will turn against me like Little Girl in the end.)

I like "Nimbus" I think that is a great sounding name for a little grey kitty with lightning stripes ;)

I also think Andizu is cute. :D

She ain't around tonight...so be careful, I might be a little bit hyper. :D

I'd say let the cat choose it's own name, but then, you'd have about a million cats named God running around

So this ain't spam, I'll chip in with the name Mist. (hell if I know) :D

No problem. This is a spam-encouraged zone. :D

I am very much enjoying your suggestions. Kitty is gnawing on a side of ribs right now, but I will run all of these by him a little later. ;)
