I didn't catch the entire story, i could look it up on Sky News or the BBC but apparently new research has concluded that working out too much in the morning can cause harm to one's body and it is better to leave it till later in the day.Originally posted by Vinin
@Sleep, where was that report about excerising in the morning? Does that mean my morning 5 miles is not good?
Looks like you don't eat enough from what you have written down - unless of course you eat a huge evening meal.Originally posted by Zu'l Zorander
eating habbets eh?
Breakfast- dont really eat this, when i do its just a bowl of cerial
Lunch- a sandwich, no mayo, on a wheat bun
Dinner- Whatever i feel like making or i might eat out
night- i eat some fruit usually a banana or apple before i go to sleep. Duno why just a habbit i guess
i just got a weight set and plan to work out asmuch as time will aford. but other than that i dont get much excersize... i did before i got my car but its been downhill since then.
Interesting study. Does it go further? From THIS evidence, it is clear to me, (that as an extention) getting up at ALL harms the body. Clearly, from this study here, we should be staying in bed, snuggling in comfy covers, resting our weary heads on soft pillows... Now I have the proof I need to start my campaign to never have to get out of bed again, thanks Sleep!Originally posted by Mr Sleep

During the night when you sleep, metabolism slows down. Eating a large breakfast is actually the best way to start up your metabolism again. If you don't eat in the morning, you metabolism will run slower until you eat, so you actually burn less by not eating. Same thing with eating too little in general - that's why people who live on a strict diet often don't loose so much weight - they body adapt to how much you feed it, so eating very little turns on the "starvation" reaction, you body think it needs to save and conserve the energy and thus slows down the metabolism.Originally posted by Tom
No breakfast is never a good idea since you need the energy and you will be sluggish and much more likely to snack. So always a good large bowl of cereal - take a quick peek at the sugar content make sure its not too extreme.
