You are threatning me? Since I haven't noticed, I don't think Dot's threats are much to fear @Ysh ;)

Btw, was it the territorial behaviours in dogs you referred to as nationalistic? Cats have that too, you know. ;)

Treat, not threat silly. ;)

Not territorial, (although that isnt good either) but the pack mentality. ;)

Ooops, I misread you - as I said in the Vice versa thread, the fever makes my mind quite dull, and obviously it makes me illiterate too :(

So you threat Ysh to treat her the same way as you treat me? I am sure she'll be delighted :D

But how does herd mentality connect to nationalism? I must agree with our Frog here - nationalistic minus the nation ;)

There is always an excuse if you start looking for one. :D ;)

Bah, I hate you and spend all my time trying to make you're life miserable, she should be terrified. ;)

Then look to the reply I gave frogus  I think those two is gouverned by quite the same mentality, but on diffrent scales... Also Nationalism is not as neutral as flock behaviour, therefor the use of it. ;)

Are you implying that my mind is dull regardless?

How sweet of you :D I am flattered by the attention and that your emotions towards me are so strong that you actually spend all your time on acts directed at me :D :)

I did, but I was by no means satisfied by your unintelligeble answer...nationalism is ususally defined as something that requires both herd mentality, "we and them"-thinking as well as sense of a geographical nation. If no nation is present, it is usually called something else, for instance chauvism, group thinking, etc.

 Me? Do you honestly think I would dare to? :D

Grrr... Actually not all my actions, I just hired someone to do it for me. :D

But I thought dogs had a sense of a geographical territory, if they call it a nation or not is imo somewhat irrelevant in this case.

Hmpf...Image

You did? That's really sweet of you, to spend your hard earned money on hiring somebody just for my sake :) *hug*
Who is it? Is he handsome? :D

Dog's have a sense of geographical territory as well as cats and most other predators, but a nation is more than just any geographical territory, it has a more specific definition. Nationalism usually refers to not only loving and wanting to protect a specific piece of land, but also a system and organisation of society. Do you think all the American nationalists would love their piece of land equally much if it was run by Arabs with Sharia law? No - it is not only the piece of land, it is a culture and a soceity as well.

Handsome? Very much so, if you dont mind his cloven hoof that is. He is also interested in music... and dancing... Im sure you two will have a great time, And my advice is... enyoj it while it lasts. :D

I did interpret the word nationalism rather freely, wich I admitted almost instantaneosly... Why you persist in pointing out minor differences is beyond me... But perhaps it got something to do with you confusing threat and treat...

Sounds pretty much like Astafas :) :D But what do you mean by "while it lasts"? Does he have a terminal illness or something?

The question is, where shall we draw the line between interpreting a word "freely" and simply interpreting it wrong? Besides, I always enjoy to pick on you :)

Its not Astafas (he has a cloven hoof?) Oh, no ilness at all.. its just that his love for music and dance might overshadow other, more important needs... :D

I say it depends on how serious a discussion is, and considering in wich thread i posted that comment and the smiley after it, I think im on the safe side. ;) Indeed you do, is that supposed to be some sort of excuse? ;)

I'm sure Astafas has a cloven hoof, he's a lawyer, right?

More important needs? Sounds very promising...the problem is that I'm married, and I don't have an open relationship. A pity, otherwise your hired stalker might have been a man in my taste :)

I say it doesn't at all depend on how serious a discussion is, it's is equally fun to pick on you :) And that is not an excuse, it is an explanation. (No excuses are needed to pick on you, I think) ;) :p

He seem to fit very well into his shoes to have one though...

Actually, pnce you hear the music, im not sure you'll have a hoice about it. If you want your husband to dance with you there is no problem with bringing him along though. :D

Too bad the question wasnt about picking on me but about the use of the word nationalism, but I guess you interpret my posts freely. :D

He's a lawyer, so I'm sure he can afford tailor made shoes... :D

Sounds very nice, I'll bring the hubby :) How kind of you, it must have cost you a fortune to hire such a multi-talented and charming stalker :D

I am generally against "inflation" in the meaning of words since arbitrary interpretation of words makes words sort of useless, don't you think? Anyway, I take all opportunities to pick on you, for anything

Yes, he have talked so much lately about how rich he is. :D

Actually he agreed on doing it for free... He did mention something about a opertunity to collect one or two souls though... :D

I "generarly" agree with that, but in the case of a not-so-serious discussion I dont see a major problem in bending the rules abit. And belive me, I have noticed. :D
