I am not so sure here. There are games out there that charge $10 a month subscription (Everquest comes to mind). Though I have never subscribed to such a site, I am not convinced these are exclusive to working and well off members *shrugs* what does everyone else think?

If Buck was to request $15 dollars a year from subscribed members, I don't think this is excessive at all and it would make a difference to Buck...

We are all hoping for the best, I am sure his decision will have been given all due consideration, and all of us are speculating

@Mr Sleep - LOL! Maybe his decision - whatever it is - was fuelled by your hitting 10K? Hmm, that is a thought too - maybe a subscription becomes payable after a certain number of posts? Since I am sure it is the spammers that make the most demands on his bandwidth....

Enough speculation about the bad bit, as Mah has said Buck never gave any specifics.
@Ysh-Stop spooking everyone! It was your idea in the first place that that was what Buck might have had in mind. Lets speculate on the good bit he mentioned instead.

@Ysh-No, that's not the idea at all. What happens is, if you expect the worst and you're right then at least you were prepared for it and it's not a shock. If you're wrong in expecting the worst then you're pleasantly surprised and better off than you would have been otherwise.

Trying to foist the blame onto me, eh? Actually i am inclined to agree with Weasel in some ways, if you think about it the number of weight of posts is what makes the most difference and since most of the spammers posts are a sentence long then surely the DF story would be much larger in weight than us small group of renegade spammers

However, I am impressed at Bucks lurkiness, wouldn't have had thought hed have the time to read over all this junk. But when COMM's take over, it will be utterly and completely and succiently to the point, no redundancy whatsoever.

If in fact it is the case that Buck is planning on making big changes I would ask, if it is at all possible, that he gives us some advance warning......

I recall when we switched to this present Game Banshee just after New Year's that there were a lot of problems with things like PMs, and along with others, I ended up losing some stuff.
