Nationalism, bad?...
...with all due respect, I think that nationalism doesn't mean blind pride for flag and country.
Nor does it mean that my country is better than your country.
For me, it means that our people with our collective culture can attain excellence despite certain differences with other culture.
I guess for us Filipinos, the pride of being one means a lot considering all the cr@p we've been getting all these years under colonial rule.
More like, confidence that yes, we can stand on our own and we don't need "benevolent assimilation" from a "mother country" to make our nation a better place.
That's it for now. I'll try to put some more input next time.
