Way to propagate the species, Weasel. We all know this country is dangerously under-populated. A very patriotic gesture man. Image Seriously, congrats. Image

Well done Weasel man, so all those experiements that Grunt did still left you equipped then :D
Apparently he was not left in perfect working order, though. It did take him a full two months of constant effort to get the job done! (If I'm reading his first post right) :p :p :D

Congratulations! I'm sure you know how much fun you are in for! Please be sure to post the first sonogram image in the Photos Thread. :)

No :) Weasel assured me that in real life he is, in fact, a furry little weasel. I was congratulating him on giving the world more furryness :)

Congrats Weasel.

For all of those who were wondering how this happened:
The reproductive habits of mustelids are remarkable for several unusual features. In most species the sexes live separately for much of the year; they rarely meet and are hostile when they do. During the temporary truce in the mating season the male seizes the female by the scruff of the neck and may drag her about vigorously before mounting. Copulation is repeated and very prolonged, up to one to two hours, even in the weasels. The penis is stiffened by a bone, the baculum, which facilitates the long copulation. The whole procedure seems calculated to thoroughly arouse the female and is associated with induced ovulation. So far as is known, all female mustelids can be induced to produce eggs (ovulate) only by vigorous copulation. Prolonged mating may expose the pair to dangers from larger predators, but this risk is outweighed by the advantage of virtually certain fertilization.
