Okay, just to clarify for myself, as far as unacceptable spam goes, anything that has absolutly no thought behind it or point is bad. Thus certain polls would be considered bad.
On the other hand, anything to encourage debate, provide amusement, or attempt to be entertaining is okay, right?
I understand the thing about the countdown to xxxx postnumber and am thinking that anything that is posted as a topic just for the sake of one more post in your count is not looked upon with favor. So do I have this straight?

I think there is mindles drivel spam which is clearly annoying. Posting questions about nuts to increase post counts.
Then there is entertaining spam - something that makes others think or laugh, posted not to increase counts, just for fun.
Thinking about nuts is not stimulating or funny unless you are a squirrel.
My 2 cents.

If you're being serious, I think you need to back up your words.
No fable, I was not seriously claiming that you really were the leader of a goon squad, nor was I claiming that you really do have 'forces at your disposal' or that you were part of a para-military force...I think it was quite plain that it was not meant to be a serious or offensive post, but I'm sorry if you took it the wrong way.

Whew.. Tense...
Anyway, I think the best way to define what "irrelevent" spam is is what I did in my early spam days (Back when I was really bad, instead of just a pest
) which was "Counting with Aegis". The thread has been lost in time, I believe, but it was mindless drivel spam.
The best way to define your topic before posting it, is:
Did you have to think about it while writing it up?
Is the topic something trival?
Would you find it an annoyance, or "clutter"?
Anyway, thats how I see it.
