What about my dear lad Frodo Baggins??? Not to mention Samwise and Pippin! Of course they are Hobbits, but that's pretty much the same as a halfling.

Well, the greatest of the hobbits in LotR was Merry Brandybuck...he could be called a hero, even in 1 on 1 combat :) How about Mazzy Fentan? She sure is a hero after the whole Bhaalspawn-mess is over...and she is a local hero in Trademeet before even meeting with the main char :D

All 5 hobbits became heroes. Merry took on the ringwaraith, i believe. Pippin alo did alot of fighting. And Frodo and Sam became soem of the greatest heroes in Middle Earth. Another hobbit hero was Bulllroarer, Bilbo's greatgrand uncle. He invented the game of golf, and won the war in defense of the Shire.
The problem with halflings are they aren't adventurous. They prefer to stay home and eat all day.
