1. Generalist.
2. I can never remember author's names/titles of books though I remember the stories...I am also hopeless with remembering actors and directors...
3. ermm...basic motorcycle maintenance, as I don't own a bike anymore and it is unlikely I will again

Good questions!
Let me see...
Specialist - Biblical literature and exegesis, Shakespeare, Milton, and the Romantic poets, especially Keats and Wordworth.
General - History, philosophy, American and Canadian politics
Gaps - Automotive, computers, macro and microeconomics
Useless - AD&D jargon MR, Thac0, INT, HD, HP, RoF, att/rnd, AL, F/M, R/C, DW, - BTW, if anyone reading this understands all the previous mumbo jumbo, I'm sure you know how I feel)

1. Generalist with specialisations (fence sitting!)
2. Bike and Car fixing - I could save a packet if I knew how to do it!
3. That an Imperial Star Destroyer has 60 turbolasers, 60 laser cannon batteries and a wing (72) of TIE starfighters.

LOL too! Too funny.
I am a generalist for the most part.
Although I consider myself above average in music,(I love my guitar)and Air conditioning/refrigeration systems,(my former career for ten years)everything else is pretty average.
Biggest gaps? Hmmmm....
Cooking, advanced math & physics,
sports trivia, computers, women....
Useless knowledge?
Probably my HVAC (A/C - Refr)knowledge as I no longer use it.

Somewhere in between. I know quite a bit about numerous topics.
2. What areas are you biggest "gaps" in knowledge?
If it's useful knowledge then it is probably one of my biggest gaps.
3. What is the most useless knowledge you have?
I'd say at least 90% of the knowledge I have.
Examples of useless knowledge:
1.)The USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D should have been ripped apart when seperating at warp speeds in the episode Encounter at Farpoint part 1.
2.)There is a Xyzzyx, California.
3.)Mixing Equal(artificial sweeteners in blue packets) and Diet Pepsi is explosive(learned this from watching my dad

).

I'm an American.
I'm arrogant and Ignorant.
I'm arrogant about my knowledge and Ignorant with my answers.
Oh yes, I have been told that I'm lazy and greedy too.

I just noticed I never replied to my own questions:
1. I'm a specialist. (I would prefer being more of a generalist, the problem is that specialising in human brain function takes a lot of time and demands specialisation in several different areas.)
2. Biggest gaps are: cooking, everything that has to do with house-keeping, non-European history and popular culture
3. Most useless knowledge: I have this stupid memory for numbers, I still remember the social security numbers of many of my patients, phone numbers to childhood friends, a bank account I've seen only one time, etc. I also have a totally useless knowledge about Renaissance poetry measures and I can quote long passages from Shakespeare's plays, from songs I haven't heard in 15 years, etc - anything that has a text and a rythm. I'm also very good at finding water in dry environments

A specialist, definitely. I'm good at synthesizing knowledge across different fields, but I have huge gaps in my background.
Fortunately, I'm sitting down, now. It isn't showing.

I consider myself Neo-Renaissance. A well rounded generalist.
Biggest gap - None really, or everything.
Most useless knowledge - How to program A Z-80 processor in assembly language. - Curdis
