The beggar can make an 8th cigarette from the stubs of the first seven she had already made
Miss Goodbody has a box of socks in her closet, containing 24 red socks and s4 green socks. Since the closet is completely dark, what is the smallest number of socks she has to remove in order to be certain of getting two socks of different colours? it's 3

There is a sign in a shop window saying:
7-12P
39-24P
How is this possible?

The lights only flickered, they did not go out completely. Sleep, our guys vices will not help with the answer.
Ysh is right. Questions should be allowed. I'll check back frequently. Ysh, you know the answer; please feel free to field questions. Let's start drinking. Perhaps at some point we could do a 'pub crawl' and revisit all the old virtual taverns?

Is the piece of paper on fire?
If so, are the lights flickering because of him running?
this is probably off base, I have never done well at these.

I think you've lost me. I'm talking about the overheard lights not sirens like on a police car, fire engine. does this help?

Ill try and clarify what i ment was were the lights part of a siren system
Also does the letter say something like:
The power is low tell the planes to circle?(or other important things I.E stop the surgery)

The lights are not part of a siren system and I can't tell you what the letter is, it gives too much away.

It's hot?
Were the locks in the prisen magnetic?
Not sure. It really doesn't affect the answer
Or some other electric lock system?
Again, I don't know as it has no bearing on the answer.

Sorry I was having a microsoft update experience ..
The man had a pardon for a death row inmate. When the lights flickered it signified he was electrocuted. I thought I remembered that.
