That's nice of you Slade. I'll normally let a woman go ahead of me unless:
1) They already tried to push in front or
2) They are being a .....
Though on a train I normally give up the seat... though due to my ticket being a student, I'm required to anyway.

@Chu, you seem to enjoy such treatments, where would the punishment be in that?
@slade, I'm generally nice to everyone. Well, so I'm told...
*passes over Bacardi*

Wow. They don't do that in the UK. People are encouraged to give up seats/space for the elderly, pregnant or wheelchairs but it's not compulsory.

People on student tickets are required too, though it's not really asked.
I'll give it up for all them.

DJV: on your Japanese: Konbanwa (Good Evening) might have been more appropriate.
Just watched Elektra and Serenity. I'm all sad now. Ah well.

I have a student ticket, I don't know if I'd be willing to give up a seat, it depends. Generally I try to get a seat facing the aisle if it's busy, but then I stand a lot on trains during the rush hour. I suppose if I saw someone in genuine need, I'd like to think I'd give up the seat.

Correction, Ohao gozaimasu would have been more appropriate, it's morning here

.
Yeah, well I'm on the train for 16 minutes each way, and generally, it doesn't get that crowded until about 2 stops from me getting off, and that's about 2 minutes, so it's not really a big deal. Plus, there's about a million people from my school on the train, so the train is empty after we get off.
Hehehe, my cat's singing along to my music

Children depends... under 8 I would, but over that, and they're old enough to stand.
