Geographical: sorry, the name of where you live slipped my mind and so I clumsily tried to disguise my idiocy. Forget it.

No, I was just surprised you underestimated Mr. Clooney's celebrity... He has made some fairly succesful movies now, didn't he? And my country is actually hard to remember as I am an expatriate (so where I live is not where I'm from). Just to refresh: Belgian living in Liberia. ;) No harm done. So 'here' in Liberia they might not know about him (though I imagine even here there richer ones do) but in my home country he's almost as famous as in the US.

Not knowing something is not idiocy, sorry if my remark made you feel bad about that. :(

Celebrities seek G-8 poverty breakthrough
Celebrities called on world leaders Wednesday not to miss the opportunity to clinch a deal on poverty at the G-8 summit, but U2 frontman Bono voiced fears that there was no immediate sign of a breakthrough.

British Prime Minister Tony Blair sat alongside Bono and rock star Bob Geldof, who later joined actor George Clooney to highlight the summit's goals.
Slut?

Sorry Fiona, but it I was doing a pastiche of the overly feminine gossipy gay. Yes not politically correct I know... In that sense it was a kind of an appreciation of his good looks, not a value judgement.
It all goes to hell when you have to do this in writing... :(
Anybody else I pushed the wrong buttons... :o

I wasn't criticising, Lestat. I'm sorry if you thought so. He did come to poverty campaigning rather late, so far as I know. I thought that was what you were referring to. You're right, it is difficult to convey meaning in this medium at times. My smilies are mostly out, which isn't helping

OK. : phew:
Did you try "typing" the smilies? like ; & ) for ;)

I can do a very few of them. My brain does not seem to be adapted for remembering codes. :(

Morning Rav :) .

@Lestat: Hehe:laugh:

Nice list by the way, and for  it's laugh between the colons.

@ Lestat. Thank you for that. Ravager has already helped me in this way, but I couldn't find a way to save them, and I couldn't remember them :+o.

Sorry, computers and me are not getting along. And the machine is smarter than I am

Edit. As you see. I can't even get them right when I'm looking at your list. I give up

No, silly Fiona, you get rid of the '+', then it will work ;) .

by Lestat
Yes indeed. I put the plus between the punctuation, other wise the smilie appears... so leave out the plusses each time. :)

Rav, how did you say that without it showing up?

@Fiona, that's okay, glad we could help. And years of studying, hard work, and a little luck. :p
