I just laughed when my brother, 'Beth someone' was taking a particular stand on an issue. Great to know that my nation allows sex changes, however it's sad that they don't come with a free name change. :(
Yeah, I had a female brother too. :D

A social paradise for who? Your people, or just yourself. ;)

Yeah, treat the wealthy with suspicion, that's what I do, I have strong anti-business policies. And I've said that organ donation isn't compsulory. Afterall, half of them will have been rotted by the marijuana... speaking of which, I haven't had a chance to legalise that yet, hope I will soon.

I started off with mary jane being legal.

Organ harversting is legal in my state, but purchasing organs is illegal because it will primarily benefit rich people.

The People's Republic of Phennispharren is a small, environmentally stunning nation, remarkable for its strong anti-business politics. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 12 million love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

The enormous, socially-minded government concentrates mainly on Religion & Spirituality, although Defence and the Environment are secondary priorities. The average income tax rate is 39%, but much higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Trout Farming.

Gambling is outlawed, citizens can be frequently spotted going about their business stark naked, tourists from around the world come to visit the country's famous rainforests, and the death penalty has been reintroduced. Crime is moderate, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Phennispharren's national animal is the black hawk, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the danayem.
:D

Heh, I've now become a Liberal Democratic Socialist state as opposed to a Democratic Socialist state.

Now see, if you answer a question a certain way when you create your country, you have no drug laws to begin with, so weed is legal. Then, questions crop up later dealing with marijuana smoking (I seem to recall getting two) which will either limit, prohibit, or continue to allow it.

"There needs to be more done for the elderly," says Aaron Washington, a resident of 'This Old Man' retirement home. "We can't work to support ourselves anymore, and the pensions we get are measly. We need more benefits such as higher standards of living, free bus tickets, and a continuous supply of rice Krispie treats. All it requires is a little more generosity on the part of the tax payers - after all, we fought the war for their sort."

I think I'm really gonna enjoy my new currency. :p

Not that I've found.

That's one of the three recommendations I'd make:
1. Let people for the first week of a new nation get more issues (5 a day?) to build up a strong foundation of policies.
2. Allow periodic review of former policies to allow for reform (either you can grab a list and edit as you se fit after a suitable period or get a random one a day in addition to new issues).
3. Allow coments on countries in your dossier.
