I met someone in a book who reminded me of CM, he said he hated all women because they are devious, but really it was because he wanted women and felt rejected by them all.
But, that was a 'Xanth' novel (I've been sick these last few weeks and needed to read something), and I probably shouldn't go into how sexist and demeaning I found those books in general, that character just being one more extention of his anti-woman agenda. Grrr...

Well, if you want to put words in my mouth, I won't stop you even though you are wrong. I would rather you put something more fun in my mouth - minimally chocolate. I always enjoyed having Alora in my party, and when I played IWD2 I had a halfling thief named - Vivien. Alora wasn't annoying to me, but she bugged the heck out of Jaheira (who wasn't very likable herself in BG1). So, Alora got a big thumbs up from me!

Haer'Dalis suits me fine, aside from his weak stats and the fact that he uses short swords...give me a long sword any day.
Not really fond of the Blade kit either...but he has one of my favourite personalities of the characters.
That said, I always saddle him with Aerie (and Minsc, with the berserker sword or that annoying Lilarcor) to get rid of her in a 'nice' way.
Though if AC is Aerie...hmm...
