open a graphics program - doesn't really matter which - and you should either be able to paste from clipboard straight away or you need to make a new document and then paste.
you then save as a jpeg. you may need to resize or turn down the quality, since it has to be around 100kb or less to post here.

Unbelievable. I've gone from a sterile M$ Windows desktop to a cluttered Mac desktop in little over a year... And I like it!

Just noticed that I had deleted my last desktop file showned, but luckily - nothing much has changed
Still a candidate for the dullest desktop, but I don't like it cluttered or anything.
And if I place a picture on it, I'd likely get bored with it fast and have to find new ones and ... well
desktop.jpg, around 50 KB.

The thing I like best about my "own" desktop is the "Shutdown Windows" shortcut I've made.
I hate in XP that you need to move the mouse (or do something else) instead of just pressing enter, to shutdown windows. Otherwise it goes to "Standby" instead.
So I made the shortcut and gave it to the key combination ctrl-alt-end. I've really grown accustomed to that shortcut over a very brief periode of time
@Syzte: I could never use a processbar that takes up so much space, as the one you run

I've got a big screen, so no worries there
(and no, I don’t have glasses or whatever

)
About the "shutdown-shortcut", I'd be interested to know how you did that...

It's very easy.
Just right click the desktop and create a new shortcut.
When prompted for the destination of the shortcut, type (or copy) the following:
shutdown.exe -s -t 0
This command will shutdown windows and close all open programs in the process. (check for the switches on the shutdown.exe to customize it).
Next you can assign any key combination to it, by choosing properties for the shortcut. I choose ctrl-alt-end cause it is easy to remember and not something you accidently press.

Back to the topic, my current desktop is FLCL. Chaotic show that makes you wonder what the author and the artists were smoking at the time.
Edit - Nevermind. GameBanshee won't cooperate.

Ya sure about that? You can't go to the bottom of the posting screen and attach a file(picture)? I happened to have a FLCL desktop too.

I can do that, but it's my measurement of the file size that seems to be off. Let's see if I can get it this time.
