Re: A bit late, but here are my two cents ...
I would very much like to meet this "Gwalchmai" fellow you are talking about. Surely such a level-headed person must be a great man. I wish I possessed some of those qualities myself....
(Thanks for the complements

I totally agree with you concerning SYM's loss of Mr. Sleep, and I admire anyone who can take the job and do it as well as he did.Originally posted by der Moench
I am very sorry to see Mr Sleep step down, though I can fully understand - I agree with some here who have asked: who would want to be a Mod? It must be a thankless job in many respects.![]()
But, if we are going to go in for any kind of voting or nomination process, my vote would go to Gwalchmai. Some of the other people mentioned (like Gruntboy and HighLordDave) are awesome choices, but they both tend to get into political discussions. One thing I think is hard on a moderator, but should be strived for nonetheless, is that element of impartiality. I think it would be hard for a SYM member to be both Moderator and constant political/social/religious commentator. I see Gwalchmai only very seldom in such discussions, and AFAIR, his comments are always mild and minimal.
Anyhoo! All just IM(very)HO.
Peace.![]()
