Not with the script or the scenery, but the acting. Denzel Washington was amazing there- he plays a character totaly different than any other of his roles.
From what I've seen, he seems to be the next favourite to win after Russell Crowe... Training Day doesn't really appeal to me, but now I'm thinking maybe I ought to see it after all...

@Sleepy as I was saying, I think that Baz Luhrmann did a good job not making it seem too weird ;)

@Tammy I doubt they'll show anything of Gosford Park that would ruin it. (Whodunnit is made plainly obvious anyway :p )

I'd see it again just for Washington's preformance.

Even if they do- who done it wasn't the point of the movie.
I thought it was weird in that way- its a murder myster, but the murder only happens about halfway thru the movie. I think the point of the movie are the colorfull characters/ stereotypes- like Bob Balaban as the jewish movie maker, or especialy Maggie Smith as the classic British snob (no offence Georgi :D ).

Thats the reason I want to see it. It plays (judging from trailers etc) like one of those classic movies from Hollywoods golden age.

No over the top special effects, corny lines (I hope) or juvenile humour.
