From what I've seen, he seems to be the next favourite to win after Russell Crowe... Training Day doesn't really appeal to me, but now I'm thinking maybe I ought to see it after all...Originally posted by Morlock
I've just seen "Training Day" and I was really impressed.
Not with the script or the scenery, but the acting. Denzel Washington was amazing there- he plays a character totaly different than any other of his roles.

@Tammy I doubt they'll show anything of Gosford Park that would ruin it. (Whodunnit is made plainly obvious anyway)
Thats the reason I want to see it. It plays (judging from trailers etc) like one of those classic movies from Hollywoods golden age.Originally posted by Morlock
I think the point of the movie are the colorfull characters/ stereotypes- like Bob Balaban as the jewish movie maker, or especialy Maggie Smith as the classic British snob (no offence Georgi).
