Actually, only pros and golfers who are rich enough to have caddies do have their caddies carry their balls.

However, those male golfers who aren't rich enough to have caddies carry their balls in their pocket. They usually keep two golfballs in their pocket, though some only keep one. Women usually don't carry their golfballs in their pockets, though(at least, none that I've seen, and I never did).

Hmm...I wonder if there's a psychological reason why men carry golfballs in their pockets but women don't. ;) :p :D

I've never played golf. I probably never will. Not that any of you care, but I needed to post something....

Feeling the urge to spam, huh?

Actually I've played golf only once, and sucked big time, but damned a golfball can be thrown far :D
But I'd like to play it again, and right :)

Yes, I had to spam here. I couldn't think of anything to add to any of the other threads, so I decided to grace this one with my presence. ;)

I will probably never play golf because it is so expensive. I don't like playing games unless I have a reasonable chance at someday getting good enough to win every once in a while. Since I will never be able to afford the fees, I will never be able to practice. Oh well. I guess I will just have to win clients over based on my charm and good looks.... :o :D

Well I always play to win, even when I suck, I wanna suck less then the people I play against.

It's not whether or not you win or loose, it is by how much you win :D

Yes, but losing at golf also means losing the exorbitant fees as well....

I don’t mean to sound like I must win all games at all costs. But if I am going to seriously take up a sport, then I want to be able to play it and practice it enough that I will at least show some improvement. The expense of golf precludes that for me.

I am currently playing racquet ball once a week. I totally suck, but its free. I have been improving a little, so its fun. I actually lost a game 6-15 the other day. For me, that’s good! :)

Hehe! I always want to win too. Unfortunately my two favourite sports (that I play! :p ) pool and ten pin bowling - I either play an absolute league standard blinder or flop into embarrassed obscurity :D

My problem is consistency. If I played both regular enough I might achieve some kind of balance.

The last time I played pool I almost seven balled my snooker playing d/h before potting the black (after it travelled along top of the cushion! :D ) into the middle bag. I went on to beat the next two challengers - you should have seen my audience! Once past my third pint I tend to deteriorate quickly so I retired whilst on top.

The last time I bowled I scored a satisfactory 130 something. I know my problem re bowling though, a ten pound ball has holes too big for me and an eight pound ball is too light. I need a nice 9 pounder measured to fit. That way I might avoid my tendency to spin... :)

@Thorin - I am not very good at snooker, I cannot see that far down the table and my judgement of distance is not that great. The very best score I ever managed was 54 - but I was helped a great deal by my sister who was equally bad and constantly fouling :D

I find that I do my best at pool between my first and third pints.... :D

Bowling is also lots of fun.

@Gwally LOL! I usually find I am warming up on one pint, flying by the second, sinking by the third :D

Well me and my playing partner always end up either defeating each other easily, or playing absolute crap, i swear neither of us are entirely sure how we are going to play feom one day to the next :)

I have never seven balled anyone i have come damn close some times though :)

The weirdest shot i have ever witnessed was by myself.....

....there was a red over a pocket, a black was snookering me on the red so i decided to jump the black, well i succeeded in a sense. The white ball clipped the black that then hit the red in, then the black followed the red in, and then the white - still in the air - landed perfectly in the pocket. :D

@Gwally, alcohol is surprisingly helpful when playing pool :) (just not too much ;) )

That sounds about right. By the fourth pint, you're not really there to play pool anyway.... :D
LOL!
