Ok, but I only have time for a brief history:

Back in the so called 'glory days' of spam, Pub thread slittered the boards like weeds, mods were shutting them down left and right, those damn hippie spammers werent gunna stop their serious political and medical discussion no siree. So one day, A small thread was created, and spammed to death, then closed. But from this thread a beautiful dream was born, this dream was given the name of Rolling Thunder, it was a traveling pub, going from thread to thread, spamming it up, and drinking all the way, Rolling Thunder even had its brand of beer, and it came by the keg full. Eventually the Free Beer Spirirt died out, the Members of the Rolling Thunder (refferred to as Slurrites) started disapearing fromt he boards, and one day, Pub threads made a come back, just like the mini skirt, and thank god for that come back.
