Pretty much. It sounds to me like she's after him just because you are. Or maybe you have the same tastes in men. Maybe she feels that if you don't like the guy she likes, it makes him less attractive and she doesn't want him. I know it sounds stupid, but some girls thrive on competition. Maybe she does this to try to make you more assertive/less shy?
I think what matters is; are you willing to share him? He might not know what he wants, it's just who's giving him the most attention and feedback.
You should definately jump on him. But don't let it get to you when you see your friend jumping on him too. (you're all experimenting) When he realizes you aren't bothered by sharing, maybe he'll see how open minded you are therefore becoming more comfortable confiding in you and end up liking you more.
(and you can giggle and flirt too )
