"You can't take on all of us, demon. You'll lose. And if Darkpoet dies, then so will you."

"Ooooooooo, aren't you the tuff one. What are you, all bark and no bite? Besides, you come after me, the priestess dies first. And you will be blame for it, the Dark Flames, elf killers. HEHEHEHEHE, you couldn't kill the Shadow Master, what makes you think, that you can kill me?"

"Because, demon, you have the body of a man. My arrow will take you down before you can take a step towards the elf. If you're going to kill us, why are you standing here talking? Is it because Darkpoet can still restrain you? He still has control, doesn't he?"

"Georgi, you and the others, go back to the keep. This is not your fight, it is mine. I already, hurt Kramor, I'm surprised to see you here Loner. I'm in good hands here, T'lainya is going to help me."

T’lainyas eyes blazed. “That will be enough!” Drawing herself to her full height she turned to look at Darkpoet. She smiled grimly and stared at the possessed paladin. The air crackled around her as the divine energies gathered. The pendant at her neck glowed, the star spinning, unaided by mortal hands. The spell gathered around her, then arced towards Darkpoet faster than thought. The azure light enveloped him, once again shrouding the tattoo. “You are strong paladin, that is good. This can and will be overcome.”

At least they were talking to Darkpoet rather than the demon now. "That would be irresponsible now, wouldn't it? What if you turn around and decide to kill her? I'm willing to trust this woman, if she can help you, but you should come back to the keep, both of you. Your battle is our battle. We can't leave you out here, not like this." Georgi addressed the priestess. "What do you say?"

[OOC: I don't know much about demons, but don't they normally inhabit an alternate plane, and if you kill the host body, the demon doesn't die, it just goes back home? To kill a demon, don't you have to make it manifest itself (without possession) in the prime material plane? Just wondering.]

(OOC Gwal..different possibilities depending on the spell etc..it might be freed into this plane, might possess or try to possess someone else or be banished)

IC: T’lainya watched Darkpoet for a moment. She saw beads of sweat on his brow from the internal struggle to keep control. She gently reached up to touch his forehead, noting with concern the ashen color of his skin. She eyed the others thoughtfully. “Your concern is appreciated.” The priestess’s voice was low and musical.”Perhaps it would be best to return to your home. I think the strain is beginning to show…for all of you.”

OOC, not sure where we are all supposed to be, so Pn me if I need to edit :)

Vivien and Dragon Wench returned to the castle where they found Gwalchmai intently studying the Ring of Sorrows. The two women looked at the small band with curiosity, it was amazing how something that small could wield so much power.

Almost at the same instant they both asked, "do you have a sense of what it does?"

"Not without Darkpoet," Georgi replied, through gritted teeth. "He's our responsibility."

Leaning on his sword, Darkpoet nodded.

"We should go back to the keep."

To keep focusing, was starting to take a toll, on Darkpoet. More than he wanted to admit, he needed to get back.

T’lainya turned an amused eye to the woman who had just spoke. “That is what I was suggesting young woman. As for responsibility…the demon is not your responsibility. Perhaps the removal will be. She noticed the half elf ranger for the first time. “Your name is Thantor, is it not? I remember meeting you once. It was a number of years ago, when the lack of rain caused an increase in orcish raiding parties.”

Thantor looked more closely at the woman. ”I remember your name is T’lainya, yes?”

"Truly. I look forward to speaking with you, but later. I think we should leave as soon as possible."
T'lainya whistled and a well groomed horse came trotting into sight. Flashing a sideways glance at the pale Darkpoet, she said "We can both fit on my horse."

Loner stood to one side, whistling, looking up at the sky, watching the birds. She kicked a pile of leaves.

Darkpoet looked at Loner.
"Loner, get your horse. We are heading back, and thanks for coming."

Darkpoet climbed on the horse behind T. Sitting on the horse, for the first time. Darkpoet saw he was covered in blood. Touching T'lainya's arm, "the first river or stream, we come to. Stop, I need to clean up."

Sorry I couldn't resist :) )
Whoops great minds think alike :D

IC: "Errr, please excuse my rudeness. I'm T'lainya, I have met Thantor, but I don't know either of you."

Nodding curtly, "I'm Georgi, and this is Loner. We had better save any further pleasantries until we're back at the keep," she said, glancing uneasily at Darkpoet. And Loner's bound to feel bettter once she's back at Kramor's side, she added, to herself. She swung herself easily into the saddle.

T'lainya glanced back at Darkpoet, catching his grimace of pain. "Washing up can wait. You need rest." Her tone told Dp there would be no arguing. She pulled a small crystal flask from her belt pouch and murmured a few words over it. She handed the flask to Darkpoet."Drink this, it will heal some of the wyverns poison."
