No problem, Minerva ;)

Of course, nobody read it, they had all left to go to Waverly's bar instead

Oh, I would never suggest anything of the kind. I was just letting my stream of consciousness get the better of me. I leave all nudity to Waverly (i.e. the "Posting Naked" thread) :D

Apparently English Women can drink gallons of absinth without dying. You are so tough, you could no doubt rip a hole in my chest with your bare hands at the slightest untoward suggestion.... :D :D  :p

Minerva: Yes, the prevalence of automobiles will be our society's downfall. The town I live in is so large, there is almost nowhere you can go if you walk. Its just no right.

I can't fathom why they wouldn't let her work if she can find a job. I say, let her work and let this country really be a melting pot!

How large *is* the town you live in , Gwalch?

The Old Pueblo is the 53rd largest city in the US with a population of 865,145. Way too large for my tastes. Its main problem is that it is so spread out. Most places you want to go are on the other side of town from where you are, and the streets are very crowded. A little less crowded now that it is summertime. :)

I just grew up near the Rocky Mountains and was able to ride my bike to any spot in town (without boiling). Ah, yes. The good old days of eating pine sap and wrestling bears. :D

Ah, I should explain. My sister is there because her husband was sent there by his company. I don't know if the visa doesn't allow her to work, or (more likely) his company's policy, she cannot work.

She enjoyed her work and that's frustrating her a lot.

Ah, I see. I assumed that they weren't giving her a work visa for some odd reason.

I have been reading some books by a British author. His biography says that he started writing when he followed his wife to the US but couldn't work without a work visa or some such thing. So, 25 novels later, he's a millionaire (probably). Maybe your sister should take up writing?

What author?

Bernard Cornwell

@Gwalchmai: LOL :D She is hardly a writer in any form. :D

She worked in a garden centre and also does flower arrangement. She did all her flowers for her own wedding. :)

Is that the guy who wrote the Sharpe novels? Or am I thinking of someone else..?

Minerva: Maybe she could help Darkpoet? He seems to have an endless supply of flowers, but could probably do with some tasteful arranging. :D

edit
Georgi: That's right. He also has some civil war novels and a few athurian ledgend books, but I haven't read those yet. Spamming here and playing BG2 takes up most of my free time these days!
;)
