Ha! A very, very good question.
I have a habit of writing down little insipid comments and then deleting them, seeing who catches me. I like it when several people do, but not the target of my attack, then we can talk about it behind their backs in front of them. This most recent was directed at you.
I assure you, it was a pointless as it was juvenile.
My style, if you will.

Directed to me?
Well that was obvious.
But why don't you wish the one it is aimed at to see it?
FDL? - Foul Dimmer lock or something?

WK: The unwritten rules are hard to tear up, but that was sweet
For a man to try to grope a girl he's on a date with it's 'normal', (you know the whole 'arm over shoulder, reaching for her chest during a movie') if a woman were to reach towards a certain area of a man's body on a first date, I think the man would be frightened away. I've never tested this theory, but I've always assumed it would be too forward.
*starts to have serious thoughts about testing this theory to prove that the world's not as steoreotypical as assumed*

V: I've had a woman do that to me on a first date more than once. Women feel that they have the right to do those sorts of things because 1) they know the man typically won't fight it and 2) they know society wouldn't successfully let the man prosecute because of it
However, I was not offended by this gesture, quite the opposite. But then, I don't really date much, I typically just get involved in a series of short relationships.

Yes you should. You should PM me all of the gory details. Or at least start a new thread devoted entirely to the subject.

I hadn't said I HAD done this, or HAD tested this theory. It was merely a theory.
The kinds of guys I've dated in the past?? The nice kinds.
As to the respect issue?? It's completely respectable for a man to try and grope females on the first date, yet it's NOT the other way around is what you're saying?
Aegis: *hug* You're Canadian, I'm Minnesotan. We have a natural protection in case of just such a threat.
You'd get lost in our boundary waters like so many before you. After many years pass, they'll find you on your island still trying to get the tree to curve properly to make a birch bark canoe.
Foul: Listen stud. I remember waaay back when you challenged me to mud wrestling. I think you lost, if I remember correctly.

Therefore, pming you intimate details of my sex life would be rubbing salt on an open wound and demeaning to your manly facade.
I wouldn't want to hurt you in that way.
*hug*

ATTENTION: VIVIEN IS A LIAR
OMG,
you won our mud-wrestling contest?!??!?!?!!?
You are severly misled, I crushed you like a gnat under my fingers of doom.
Come on people, support me here. Who remembers that match?

I can remember that you pounded that girl, that much was clear. I laughed so hard when she, naked and panting for breath, begged for mercy, and you just laughed (you were so manly), and then pushed her into the mud and left the ring victorious. I also remember you and Waverly's mud restling match, but although you won, it wasn't quite as exciting to me personally, nor to T'laniya (we really wanted to join in..).
