It did close briefly, but it was taken over by new management and reopened, and wasn't as nice after that. My friend found a hair in her chicken tikka massala

and they stopped giving out free poppadoms with every order

I can't think of a restaurant that closed right now, but there is this burrito place in Santa Cruz - it's still there AFAIK, but I moved away, so it's dead to me or i'm dead to it. Dang! That place has the best veggie burrito, I used to go there every day. I'll have to drive up for the weekend sometime.

Speaking of Indian food, there is a good indian place near my work that delivers, but I am cursed: no-one else at my work likes Indian, and if I get it they all complain about the smell and make fun of the way it looks.
