It depends on whether you plan to bring the car or rent one here :D

6 min drive to a little port and then 40 min boatride to Pireus, drinking coffee and watching the gulls and the gals, after that subway to work. And that is the beauty of it.50' from the centre of Athens, and I live in a place where the closest neighbour is about 1.5 miles away!Hurrah for the loners.

I would bet money on...something more sinister. :D

@CE If I can make room on the raft..I will bring my car. :D

Note to any navy people. If you see a raft with a bright yellow car on it, in the middle of the ocean...Don't shoot. :o

8am - 10 minute walk to tube station through warren of building works. 40 minute fight through hordes of people trying to kill me before they get to work (note: rarely happens now because I wear my "**** off or I'll kill you face" on a morning), squashed like sardines in underground trains. 10 minute walk up a big hill and 6 flights of stairs.

5pm - 10 minute trot downhill. Get a seat on subway (one benefit of travelling against the flow :D ) for 40 mins, payback for those ****s who tried to kill me in the AM. 10 minute walk through construction site, TV on, feet up, Beer in hand. :)

Go to the shed, and look at my bicycle, then open blind and check outside. Have a breakfast.

Step out from my front door, lock it, walk about 20 steps to the bus stop in the village, catch one of 4 buses in a day to the city centre. Walk 25 minutes up the hill, then get exhausted by the time I arrived library.

Return is easier, though. I can walk down to the high street in 15 minutes. :D Then, catch one of 4 returen bus to the village. :)

Do you drive a 68, 69 or 70 Charger? I grew up on Dukes of Hazard, it was my favorite show when it was on, and I STILL really feel that those Chargers are the coolest cars ever. I did some research on it and found that Ford Torinos were the only cars that could beat Dodge in Nascar right then, so I felt OK about buying my Torino since I couldn't find a good Charger or a nice 71 Eldorado convertible (Boss Hog's car!). People, be careful during your children's formative years !!!
May you walk on warrrrm sannd....
