It seems all good legends come from Calimshan as, indeed, does the tale of Bygon Shadoweaver, who proclaimed to be the greatest thief in a city of thieves.
The treasure of the Marconi Guild of Calimport was said to be so fabulous that it defied human imagination. And the lock to the vault that contained that treasure was so complex that even the most agile of minds and fingers took hours to unravel it.
Overconfident in his defenses, the guild's Pasha Greenpaw was dismayed when he arrived in the vault one day only to find a single note signed by Bygon himself. Somehow, the halfling had snuck past several guard posts, unlocked the vault, and snuck back past the same guard posts on the way out. Impossible... even for one under the effects of an invisibility potion, for no single potion's effects lasted that long... |
