This essence swirls and glows with a bright red light. Eight Brilliant Fire Essences can be combined into one Pristine Fire Essence by using the Shaper's Alembic on them. Two Brilliant Fire Essences can be converted into a single Brilliant Power Essence.
Brilliant Fire Essences are also suitable for enchanting. To enchant an item, place it in the Enchanter's Satchel along with one or more Brilliant Fire Essences, then cast the appropriate spell on the item. Use up to four Brilliant Fire Essences for more powerful enchantments. Any item can be enchanted to hold up to three item properties total, or four if the enchanter is of epic level. Enchanting an item with a property it already has will replace the item's existing property, whether or not the new property is better than the existing one. The required caster level depends upon the number of essences you are using:
1 Brilliant Essence -- Caster Level 12
2 Brilliant Essences -- Caster Level 15
3 Brilliant Essences -- Caster Level 18
4 Brilliant Essences -- Caster Level 21

Craft Magic Arms and Armor
Weapons: Flaming Weapon. Spell: Fireball or Flame Strike
Armor: Regeneration. Spell: Protection from Energy
Craft Wondrous Item
Cloak: Energy Resistance (fire) and Save Bonus versus fire attacks. Spell: Endure Elements
Gloves: Unarmed Damage Bonus (fire). Spell: Fireburst or Body of the Sun
Amulet: Energy Resistance (fire). Spell: Resist Energy
Rings: Save Bonus versus fire attacks. Spell: Resistance
*Note that while the Cloak provides two benefits, the amulet and ring bonuses are greater for a given number of essences. |
